Trump after backing down from Iran: I received calls from the region.
"I received calls from all sorts of people from different countries, including kings, emirs, and everyone we know well.
They said they would like to act differently. They want to invest billions and billions of dollars in the United States and continue their record growth.
And frankly, I'm happy about that, because I don't think anyone should have the right to charge a fee for passing through the Strait of Hormuz."

@Trollkickoff Sums up how Ferguson's students have no brain in their coaching careers.

🚨🇫🇷🗣 Patrice Evra reveals the difference between Sir Alex Ferguson and modern managers:
“During nine years, Ferguson never told me anything tactical like ‘go left’, ‘close the right’, or things like that.
José Mourinho will probably talk more about tactics than Ferguson, but I don’t understand how Ferguson was so successful with that style of management.
He knew how to bring the best out of people.
We played with fear. I was never scared of Sir Alex Ferguson, but I was always scared of disappointing him.
When Arsène Wenger was losing at half-time, he would say: ‘Come on my friend, we can do better than that.’
Ferguson was different. He was like: ‘Stop playing with my money, man. You don’t want me to end your contract, do you?’
I always tell people, if Ferguson was coaching today, he would probably end up in jail.” 😅

Newcastle must understand that Arsenal is not a club that can be manipulated.
Clubs have tried this tactic before. Brighton did it with Caicedo. RB Leipzig attempted it with Sesko. Shakhtar Donetsk tried the same with Mudryk.
In every case, they pushed for massively inflated prices, tried to spark bidding wars, or played games to extract every possible pound...Arsenal simply walked away each time.
We want Guimarães, but we’re not so desperate that we’ll allow ourselves to be taken advantage of.
Third bid should be enough to accept...

EXCL : #AFC have agreed a long term contract with Bruno G as Arteta connected over Zoom call.

@Hypere8 @Footballtweet This "kid" is way older than Bellingham.

@Footballtweet Bellingham being young enough that meeting him is a casual celebrity moment for grown adults tells you this kid is on a different trajectory than his peers

@TheAthleticFC And Ghana had never lost a second group stage match against any opponent in its FIFA world cup history.
English

Before England flew from Kansas City up to Boston on Monday, Harry Kane had a clear message in a meeting with the rest of the squad.
In England’s past three tournament campaigns, they had followed a win in their opening fixture with a dispiriting draw. The game against Ghana was a chance to change that history.
With Kane’s words firmly imprinted upon them, the England team boarded the flight with renewed purpose. There was to be no letting up at the Boston Stadium.
Well, sometimes even those who can remember the past are still doomed to repeat it.
@JackPittBrooke explains how England tried to avoid another awful draw — and why they didn't.

@TheAthleticFC @JackPittBrooke The Konsa tackle was so clear to VAR to not miss on that but somehow they mystically missed that decider. SHAME.
English

Carlos Queiroz said that the VAR "was on vacation" and "went for coffee" after two key incidents went against his Ghana team in the second half of their 0-0 draw with England.

Statement by Lebanese President Joseph Aoun's office:
"The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, chaired this afternoon a meeting at Baabda Palace that included Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykal, former Ambassador Simon Karam, head of the negotiating delegation, members of the military negotiating delegation, and the advisory team accompanying the negotiations. During the meeting, recent developments in Lebanon and the region were assessed, including the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran, and the ongoing preparations for holding the next round of Lebanese–American–Israeli negotiations in Washington, which are scheduled to take place on 23, 24, and 25 June this month.
President Aoun provided the negotiating delegation with his instructions based on the fixed principles of the Lebanese position regarding the final ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the territories they occupy, the deployment of the Lebanese Army up to the international borders, the return of Lebanese prisoners, and the launch of the reconstruction process."

“NDC started this and couldn’t complete it. You were there for eight years and didn’t complete it. Now somebody comes to power for 15 months, then you have a problem.”
—Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has urged members of the Minority to avoid politicizing issues surrounding the completion of the Afari Military Hospital, noting that they also failed to complete the project during their time in office.
He emphasized the need for a united, non-partisan approach to ensure continuity of development projects for the benefit of the country.

I strongly condemn today's Israeli strikes on Beirut. The strikes took place despite the ceasefire & at a time when the US & Iran are expected to reach an agreement that will pave the way to a peaceful resolution of this conflict.
This conflict is having a devastating impact on the world's economy.
I urge all parties to show maximum restraint at this crucial moment & I strongly hope for a successful outcome of the ongoing efforts by the US & Iran.

@dimitrismanakos First of many credible reports. Soon we'll have to put you in category A alongside the best.

🚨 “What’s happening? Any updates? Has the deal collapsed? Is there something you’re not telling us?” 👀
Guys… calm down! 😅
Yes, I do have something to tell you.
🇬🇷 Christos Tzolis WANTS to join Arsenal. He wants the move and he’s waiting… ⏳🔴⚪
Talks between the parties are ongoing, while Club Brugge are not expected to stand in the player’s way, provided their financial demands are met. 🤝💰
For now, patience is required. But don’t mistake silence for a lack of progress… 👀🔥
Stay tuned. 📞✈️

@football_pb Arteta and Berta appointed a top talent scout for these exact reasons. Get them for cheaper prices before they suddenly turn into €100m players.
English

If another PL club sign Christos Tzolis for £35m and he does well and instantly is worth double, we’d have people moaning about why we never find these players.
Looks like we will be bringing two left wingers and potentially a striker, they can’t all be £100m players people.
Tzolis pops on eye test and data and looks good value for money. Trust the team.
