@financialsamura I get that. When my father retired, he didn't transition to anything intellectual and visually deteriorated after that. Watching him was part of the motivation to create @TheMotivatedMD Something intellectually challenging that I can focus on if I retire or change careers.

Nah. Need something intellectual to do in retirement. Can’t play tennis and pickleball everyday. I also want to record the journey and demonstrate the importance of consistency and showing up to my adolescent kids. Making money online is nice, but it is a byproduct of the joy that comes from writing and connecting.

@financialsamura Ever considered writing a post fantasizing on what life would look like if you sold the site, cashed out? What would you do? How would it alter your life? Would you find another gig? Would you gracefully disappear?

Dear interns and residents. Don't get too bogged down in making money and chasing net worth. Focus instead on creating healthy financial habits so that when you do start making attending income your financial skills are prepped and all that changes is the size of your money.
