@BriAnimator_ I LOVED Talk To Me but didn’t care too much for Bring Her Back. The movie is shot so well and it looks great but idk I just didn’t love it as much as I hoped.

@tvstayson @TheTayMack The Challenge is a dying show and hasn’t been good in years. Even long-time Challenge vets realize this. Branching off on to other shows like Traitors, House or Villains, Deal or No Deal Island, etc is where it’s at now.

To clarify I know it’s a good movie and I’ll definitely revisit it. I’m not gonna say it’s bad because it most definitely isn’t. Everything about it is good and the RACKARACKA brothers absolutely crush it. I just found TALK TO ME to be a bit more original and compelling.

Unfortunately #BringHerBack didn’t do much for me. It’s got great camera-work from the RACKARACKA brothers and is anchored by an excellent performance by Sally Hawkins however it never grabbed me the way TALK TO ME did. It’s still very well-made and I’m sure most will dig it.

@GunnTheReaper @mrpyo1 Nice I’m currently going after the two Axons and I’m level 30 or so? I’ll prob have to slow down and explore a bit more. This is actually a fresh play through I got to the Paintress on Xbox at like level 35 and was getting wrecked 🤣

@DiscussingFilm I heard the ending with what they do with the sisters ruined the film. So I’ll pass on this one, plus they removed characters.

@shinobi602 I’m excited for Hexe. I liked Mirage because it brought me back to the AC2 days of 15ish hour campaign taking place in just one large area. AC should just go back to this in general. Shadows and Valhalla are both too big and bloated for their own good…

That's a wrap on Assassin's Creed Shadows 🥷 Overall enjoyed it and had a fun time. Ended up with 115 hours put into it. It was a slow burn at first but I quickly got into the groove of the gameplay loop. Combat actually felt a little tough at first but once I leveled up, unlocked special moves for each weapon and upgraded Naoe and Yasuke, it felt a lot smoother. In terms of feel, combat was the most fun in the series to me. Parrying, dodging, posture attacks, light + heavy as well as the specials felt good. Chucking kunai from the shadows at people's heads and watching them topple over or lopping dude's heads off with katanas rarely got old. Hard to complain about the visuals! The environments, world detail, and especially lighting are just phenomenal. It's easily one of the best looking open world games out there. The whole screen feels alive when the wind picks up with hundreds of leaves and particles flying in the air, trees swaying, animals running around, etc. My OLED was feasting. Soundtrack was great too. And I encountered only a handful of bugs or hiccups during my whole playtime. Some of my personal letdowns were things like quest design and overarching plot. I wish there was more variety in the way quests unfolded, and in their objectives. There really isn't much other than infiltrating castles to assassinate targets, which after dozens of hours start to blend into each other. Almost all quests end up with you fighting some goons or chasing someone. Some more variety would have gone a very long way. The story was probably one of the weaker ones in the series as well. A standard revenge plot is fine, and there are *some* interesting characters along the way, but there were so many names for me to remember that I couldn't keep up. Each target once assassinated didn't quite feel like an accomplishment or big leap in the narrative but rather just a quick check off the list. There's not much that I could point that I would call "bad", just uninteresting. The world, while beautiful and visually immersive, did also feel a little rigid. I'm not sure if I just missed them, but there were surprisingly few genuine side quests? There are characters you meet with their own questlines in each region, but many of those mostly devolve to "kill 100 bandits in this region" or "hunt down this group of pirates". There aren't really just...NPCs out in the world that you meet and help like Origins or Odyssey. The personal quests of Yasuke and Naoe were bright spots however, and I did enjoy their characters and how they intertwined. Naoe's stoic but playful demeanor and Yasuke's gentle giant personality meshed well. Good stuff, though nothing here quite reached my affinity for the main protags of other games in the series like Bayek/Aya, Alexios and Kassandra, Ezio, or Edward Kenway. One thing I'll say is the game is absolutely massive, and it's becoming more apparent now with 4 kids that these things are just huge time sinks lol. I started on launch day and just now finished. Craving some shorter, tighter experiences. Hope the next one (AC Hexe) provides that. Had fun overall! #AssassinsCreedShadows #PS5Pro

First plot synopsis for the final season of ‘STRANGER THINGS’: “The fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown.  Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before.  To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time”

Daniel Kaluuya is arguably the best actor of his (my) generation. Kaluuya is as good as any actor in the world south of 40. I’ve always felt that COVID overshadowed his Oscar win for Best Supporting Actor for Judas & The Black Messiah. This is an all-time great performance.

@DiscussingFilm Joshua Jackson should have been more present in the marketing. His character is more integral to the story and has more screen-time than Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio combined, who are both in smaller roles. Wang was pretty good! Wish it did better but I’m not totally surprised.

New diet & workout routine started Monday. Slacked for a couple months, honestly. Time to catch up and, ideally, get better than ever. Went 5-for-5 this week. #MainCharacter
