Don’t let the lying racists make you believe the word Easter has only recently been taken off Easter Eggs. Spot the one reference Easter eggs from 1960s and 70s.

@crankynotions It’s Englands greatest strength-our moderation. We even fought a war culminating in the execution of a monarch-but the interregnum didn’t involve widespread indiscriminate decapitations like in 1789. We almost simultaneously fought both facism and communists in the 20th c.

And yet 7000 Catholic priests found refuge in England in the wake of the French Revolution. 'Tolerance' has become a cringe word, but I think the English are a fair and practical-minded people.

@shillcock_paul @Bbmorg Most Christians don’t see it as a faith for Europeans alone, nor is it. Africa has some of the most devout adherents, as are the Christian Arabs in the middle east. Their lives have often been imperilled by their faith. Framing it as a European religion is patently false.

@trainfanmatt @Bbmorg The culture wars are so obviously contrived. It’s not as though eating chocolate eggs on Easter is Christian doctrine. For those that are concerned that Christianity is waning, simply go to church rather than worry about chocolate packaging.

I'm as guilty as nearly everyone in just taking as fact that Iran fired a missile at Diego Garcia. Iran says it's a false flag, and there is no evidence to show any attack ever happened. Regardless, there has been no massive change of attitude from the public to Iran. Most people have just said good for them.

@nonregemesse The English truly have no qualms with St George being Greek. We have our own long history with him. He’s a focal point of English martial spirit. He’s appeared on battlefields alongside English soldiers for centuries, including most notably at Mons in WWI.

In trying to undermine Englishness these people reveal that even they think ‘diverse’ peoples can never really belong here.

@BearJFK Our military men feel emboldened when they’re rewarded for acts of bravery. Unfortunately the general public is pretty apathetic towards most things, including acts of heroism and daring.

Military people were infamous, and renowned, for making public protests. The idea they must stay absolutely silent is a relatively modern notion. Worth bearing in-mind during this current defence malaise.

Only the Orthodox follow these rules today, with Catholics sticking to the dietary restrictions but they may have multiple meals.
