@BerryAndBitty @aussiewongm Yeah no paying for multiple people with the same card in Australia - one card number per person here for all the capital cities (If you tap on at a reader, you generally have 15-30 minutes to 'change your mind' and reverse the tap on - as long as it's at the same location)

@TheOpalUser @aussiewongm count how many times you tapped on in a row, if you paid for multiple people It should be interchangeable with the busses, but due to audio issues, I never particularly took a bus unless it was a single movement that was long enough

TIL if you don't tap on in the first place with a Myki, you can't tap off (and cop the default fare) like in Sydney 🥴

@BerryAndBitty @aussiewongm Yeah revenue protection should be able to check your tap status (NSW can) - but the fare gates won't, especially if it's at another station

Having lived in Finland for a bit, with the card readers They can use the NFC function on their issued phones to check the hard cards, but also your bankcard for if you tapped on It doesn't actually show all the bank info on the card, but checks the fare

(Also I have a few hours to burn before my flight home this afternoon, so an afternoon of trains and trams it is)
