My opinion? It's a known fact that establishment wants Imran Khan to come out of prison. Their demands? Wait till next elections, and let us take care of few difficult things. I think he should take the deal. Brute force is not enough to win. Sometimes you have to be smart too.

Over to Asim Munir. He has to convince the Iranians to take the deal. The stronger side often makes the final offer and leaves. So the ball is now in Iran’s court. They shouldn’t have let it come down to Vance doing a presser of this nature. Because if the Iranians take the deal now then it will be taken as Iran caving in. Also, Vance’s disappointment was visible. Seemed like he really wanted a deal here.

If Pakistan wants to be taken seriously as a mediator or have any influence on Israel's positions, the first step it should take is to remove the line "not valid for travel to Israel" from Pakistani passports. (not that Israel is particularly interested in an influx of Pakistani visitors to the country.)
