I see a lot of young bucks flashing P&L on here whenever we have a hot week. I used to be in this camp until some deep thought had me realize how much I was stunting my own trading growth in the process. The dopamine hit you get from announcing your wins subconsciously replaces the drive needed to continuously achieve them. In this game you need to maintain that sense of raw hunger above all else. They say there's only two days in Jail - the day you're in, and the day you're out. Trading is similar in this fashion, the only two numbers that matter are what you came with, and what you leave with. Until then, we're all just in the battle. Was listening to Derek Sivers TED talk on keeping your goals to yourself which sparked this tweet. "Publicly announcing ambitions can give you a premature sense of identity or accomplishment, which reduces motivation to actually do the work." Instead, I keep the focus on the Art of Trading. The physical execution. The X's and O's. The numbers are the numbers as a result of this and only this. @OliverKell_ talks about "sustained ruthlessness," in his book. I love that so much. It speaks to the need to keep the raw hunger day in and day out. Keep the hunger. Stop flashing the $$$. It will only lead to much more of it. Just my two cents. 🫡

When price action gets tight its usually because someone w big $ has a plan. Selling is quietly being accumulated. Action is very controlled. When price action is wide & loose it usually means lots of people buying/selling but no big $ has a real plan and conviction.

6 years since I started putting myself out there in the social media world! I just want to say a huge thank you to you all. 6 years ago this week I did my first ever stock YouTube video reviewing the market for the week. Crazy to see how far things have come from having no discord, no X and no relationships in the social media world to this community that WE ALL built. It’s been an awesome journey. For those who know I had over 120 weeks of reviews until the old channel had to be dissolved, had to take a break with training for ATC and then finally decided to come back last year. Discord was only like 200 people, New YouTube had no one really watching at all and in the last year ( can’t believe I missed the 1 year anniversary of the rapid review) now over 1k in discord and a small pit growing X and YouTube. I’ve met so many amazing people here and on social media and I have learned so much in the process. I’ve got to connect with so many amazing people @mwebster1971 @markminervini @sswetz @prrobbins @ShakePryzby1 @NickSchmidt @RichardMoglen @RossHaber @AmeetRai @AlexMarenco1 @MichaelGLamothe @AutoPilotTrade1 @RealSimpleAriel @basso_tom @PeterLBrandt and many more sorry if I didn’t list you! Idk if you remember but back in 2020 you watch one of my episodes on the old channel. You gave me some positive comments and shared it. Went from no one watching to a fair amount of people for me. Just hearing from you after years of watching meant a lot let alone the endorsement. I won’t ever forget that! Really pushed me to keep sharing

X needs to do a better job with my feed algorithm! Yeah this is wild! Where does the line get drawn?!? Next are they suing anyone with 3 single coil pick ups? They already have the history and the brand name. I myself almost recently bought an American made Strat not because I have any business skill wise but because to me it was buying a piece of guitar history by having a guitar made in that factory. Think this isn’t only gonna hurt the image of fender but now all these brands have more drive to simpler tweak the shape and make higher quality and better guitars which can end up hurting fender even more !
