@prjectmirai @Darkseid_iz There are also cosmetic differences. Riichi city has the better gacha skins imo because mahjong soul only has png skins where only special outfits are animated where as ALL skins are animated in riichi city

ive always wanted to learn mahjong so should i play mahjong soul or riichi city? does it matter?

Riichi City added a basics menu you can check before matchmaking.

@TheQuench149 At least not in english, maybe in other language some group at least tried in good faith, but in english you have a triple combo of 'translations' by pretty bad traslator, literal schizo and MTL, on top of already insanely hard to convey in other language work

I agree that Ryuukishi prose is mediocre and serviceable at best, but basing it on english TL is pretty stupid. Like for english readers Cross channel is unreadable dogshit and Fata Morgana is a great prose example, which would sound insane to anyone reading original text

if i had to introduce yuriko to new fans, apart from the fujoshi stuff i would just say she's like "to be cringe is to be free" personified, what makes this true is that she is a loud and proud fujoshi/otaku who can transform this attitude into whatever she wants

The better you get a reading Japanese the less you feel the accomplishment of improving your skill, I really enjoyed that aspect & whilst I never really cared for output, Chasing the feeling of improvement might push me towards that part of learning, BUT can’t output Eroge so GG

@SakagamiHabaki Gotcha, i really enjoy anki and cant see myseld every dropping it but maybe i should rethink that. I just cant see myself remembering words by just lookups alone

@TheQuench149 Coming up on 3 years in total, I dropped Anki as soon as I finished the core deck and just read to improve, My current deck is a mining deck but it’s just Kanji from Masada VN’s so not really stuff I’d ever need outside of reading fantasy

-just grind vocab at first
-start with kana and kanji immediately, no romaji ever
-once you can read something, even with extensive dictionary use, do so
-listen to my jungle music
