The anti-alcohol discourse is always funny to me. Do I drink way less than I used to? Yes. Do I think getting blackout drunk every weekend in your 30’s or older is a bad idea? Also yes. But I’m not going to pretend alcohol is some evil force that only creates problems. Some of the best memories of my life happened because of it. College nights with friends. Random drunks nights that became legendary stories. Meeting people I never would’ve talked to otherwise. Hooking up with women that probably never would’ve happened sober. Inside jokes that still get brought up 10 years later. If you’re in college or just moved to a new city and don’t want to drink, that’s completely fine. But don’t let the internet convince you that everyone who ever had a few beers with friends was ruining their life. Life is balance. And also there’s a decent chance your parents had a few drinks before you were born too lol
