Soccer will never be popular in America. What we’re seeing with the World Cup is a fad. Within months we will be addicted to the NFL again. Here’s why: - Soccer isn’t violent enough. - There’s way too much whining which goes against the American DNA. - The refs and rules seem incredibly arbitrary. - It’s in American to have a sports game end in a draw. It’s just wrong. - Hard to monetize. TV ads are nonexistent. I actually like this element but our American economy does not. - Did I mention there’s too much whining and faked injuries? Basically, what I’m saying is that soccer is a pretty wimpy sport. You can hate me for saying this but you know it’s the truth. I will continue enjoying the World Cup but we all know what happens next. Back to normal life!

@eyesthedon Not offsides-legit play: one of our defenders tried to header out of the box and ended up passing it to a Turkish player instead... I also agree the officiating ref in this game was absolute crap, but it is standard to let an offensive action play out regardless of stoppage time.

Turkey player was offsides, goal shouldn’t have counted. #FifaRefs in turkey USA game we’re terrible.. blew the whistle exactly at the end of extra time in first half when USA had momentum. But turkey gets a whole extra mins how is that not BS.
