@nickiacoban When Brady Martin and Egor Surin start playing for the Preds they'll be very tough to play against. Ufko seems to have top 4 offensive potential and Molendyk will up in the league soon. There are a few other good prospects and if they can draft 1 elite player they're golden

I don't think there's much debate about who's better between Hagens and Martin, but that doesn't mean Martin isn't good. Brady Martin is one of Nashville's best prospects in a pool that I have now only behind Calgary. They do lack a (Hagens-esc) star tho... #Smashville

@Jessemedscience They should've had the foresight to make a decision on who's sitting to allow Hagan's into a top 9 role

@Jessemedscience I completely agree and had the same thought process. Our excess of bottom 6 role fill guys shouldn't be stopping a potential star prospect from entering the team. They knew he was coming since the offseason and they even went out of their way bringing in Reichel to take a spot

Imagine not signing your most talented prospect since Patrice Bergeron because you cannot figure out how to squeeze guys like Mikey Eyssimont and Alex Steeves out off the roster — or, do not want to hurt Marat Khusnutdinov’s feelings by putting him in a checking role — or, telling Sean Kuraly he may have to sit a few games and be on ‘rotation’ ? 🤦🏾 James Hagens belongs nowhere near a bus… #NHL #BRUINS #NHLBRUINS

@TianoDom27109 With Florida this year was an anomaly as I truly believe if healthy they were cup competitors but next season they may not have a true starting goalie and I think every year we wait they'll get worse. The 2028 pick might be closer to this years pick while 2027 could be a late one

Lot of #NHLBruins fans hoping Leafs pick up points to stay out of the top-5 so that they can get their 1st round pick this year. Don't see many hoping Panthers pick up points to stay out of the top-10. It's the difference between a 2027 1st rounder and 2028.

@_TyAnderson @ConorRyan_93 I hope he's given a chance on the top line for at least a game. If not maybe next to Lindholm and Geekie to see if he can get them going a little

I really hope Boston allows James Hagens to jump right into the NHL and skip the AHL bus tour Because we all know the moment the kid goes a couple of games with no points for PROV the chances of ever seeing him wear a Bruins sweater drops about 97.8% #NHL #BRUINS #NHLBRUINS

@emilykmay @yavanikashah Guys will have a sober or drunk pow wow until 4-5am like once a year where everyone gets a few things out. In general we aren't leaving oking to hangout with people that are complaining and talking shit all the time, we look for a positive environment with buddies.

Hot take as a woman who actually has really wholesome female friendships: male friendships are kind of… insane. two men can hang out for 4 hours, say maybe 17 total words, share a bag of chips, send each other one stupid reel, and go home like “great catching up bro.” no emotional recap. no post-hangout analysis. no “did I say something weird when I laughed?” they can go 6 months without talking, then meet again and immediately pick up the exact same joke from 2017. women meanwhile will do a full psychological autopsy on a slightly delayed reply. I’m not even judging. I’m just observing a level of emotional minimalism that feels both deeply confusing and… kind of powerful.

@FridgeHN1C It should've started this season because Poitras and Lysell aren't getting better in the AHL, the development down there sucks

@FridgeHN1C The problem is with Arvidsson and the current team we don't have a cup chance. If you look at FA you aren't finding help there so what's the best option the Boston Bruins could take? For me that's invest in your youth and give them time in the NHL to work it out.

@Jessemedscience I think Boston messed up not having Poitras and Lysell up in the NHL actually learning. These guys are getting worse at the game every year in Providence and it's making me angry at Boston's development

@Jessemedscience Especially coming into this weak FA. Boston won't find a top 6 winger or a top line Dman. So considering this we have to commit to prospects with a higher ceiling now and next year so that we actually have a cup chance in our 4 years window.

Your argument is about keeping Arvidsson because Boston has a “window” You finished towards the bottom of the league last season And you’re barely keeping your head above water this year That’s your definition of a contender? The window was 2013-2023 and it was WIDE OPEN They were a powerhouse for a full decade consistently finishing near the top of the Eastern Conference But presently? They’re building to get back to that — they’re not there yet and maybe it’s another year until it marinates and they become a legitimate team through integrating young players, making smart hockey deals and continuing to draft with intention I believe this will be a quick turnaround— you don’t need to force-feed Arvidsson onto this roster for that to happen They’re reaching to crack that “window” you speak of open again Why are you so dead set on Arvidsson being the be-all / end-all? No fan wants to see Boston sit on their ass and waste Pastrnak’s prime years but how does that solely fall on a decision regarding a 33 yr old UFA who may have his own aspirations? And if Arvdisson was seeing the same “window” as you, he’d sign by now. #BRUINS #NHLBRUINS
Elliotte Friedegg 🥚@FridgeHN1C

Our friend here is questioning that the #NHLBruins don’t have a window. Pasta, McAvoy and Swayman are 27-29 years old. They’re in retired numbers territory and you can’t ignore them while building around Hagens and Letourneau.

@_TyAnderson I'd like him and Reichel to split LW1 duties to end the season as I'm not a huge fan of Khus in that role. Maybe 1 of them can role into playoffs with this chance otherwise go back to Khus

That revolving door at LW3 right now next to Minten and Geekie seems like the obvious opening right now. Think they're gonna have him break in as a wing. But, I mean, that's a pure guess right now.

@Jessemedscience I always thought his usage after being called up was wrong, they played him in a 3rd line checking center role and after poor results of knocked him down to the 4th line. He was clearly an offensive winger to me who needed a top 6 role with proper top 6 linemates.

I was always puzzled about Lukas Reichel’s NHL journey. The hype, the promise, the initial success as a 20 year old — and then, the dip…the AHL assignments, the inconsistency, the diminished TOI That said, was CHI, in the end, the best environment to launch his NHL career? Was the pressure of performing right away for an original 6 franchise in the middle of a ‘deep cleaning’ rebuild affecting his development? Difficult to achieve success as a young player when your leading scorer is Max Domi (49 points), an aging Jonathan Toews is barely on the ice, and Andreas Athanasiou (remember him?) is your leading goal scorer (20) Now, this is not to deflect blame away from Reichel but to highlight possible variables that may have impacted his growth as an NHL player Physically, there’s not much there and that in itself may be a prime contributor to his lack of success at the NHL level The talent is there, it’s glaring, in fact. Does the player have the maturity and mental capacity to put in the work this summer and improve physically? 10-12lbs would be a significant jump from his 170lbs frame At the end of the day, it’s still an excellent gamble by Boston #NHL #BRUINS #NHLBruins

@BruinsNetwork Zach's has 45 points in 61 games while Schmaltz is a ppg this year. Boston has to decide if Zacha is a forever center or a future winger again because that's the difference between 6.5m and 8m in FA

@TCalauttis Our competition for the wild card spot is Columbus and Montreal, both have young growing rosters and Columbus is adding for a playoff push. If we aren't adding we have to be selling because Boston isn't a roster that'll be better next year without a major add so we need assets

The #NHLBruins are 2-2-0 since returning from the Olympic break. They've lost both games on the road to two inferior teams. They've fought hard all year, and they've exceeded expectations, but the smart move here is to sell. It sucks in the here and now but could go a long way in pushing this franchise forward. Either buy big (Thomas) or stockpile more assets to get in a position to buy big.
