Beware the DA when it says it’s building homes. Look at where they’re being built. They pack us like sardines in matchboxes in DENSE areas while never building affordable housing in wealthy and spacious areas. This is social engineering of the worst kind. If the DA says ‘we build homes’ — show me where they build them. Location is justice. We remain on the periphery and are consistently priced out of home ownership. It’s the Group Areas Act 2.0 - we WILL break this!

A few wondering why Trevor Nyakane is not getting a look in with the Springboks right now... For starters, he is 35. Frans Malherbe (33) and Vincent Koch (34) are the clear first-choice tightheads right now with Thomas du Toit (30) hot on their heels. Then further down Neethling Fouche and Wilco Louw. At loosehead, Ox Nche (29) and Gerhard Steenekamp (27) have been excellent and Jan-Hendrik Wessels (22) is clearly a player the Boks believe can do a job against weaker scrums and offers options at 1 and 3. Then there is Steven Kitshoff (32) who will probably make the next World Cup - injury permitting. Right now, Nyakane is in the tough spot where he isn't second or third in the pecking order at loosehead or tighthead and there is enough depth and options to not need two players that can play both sides. Plus, they would have got a clear indication of where he is fitness and form-wise when he was in the squad in July. Not easy to crack the current Boks squad and getting harder to stay in it (ask Johan Grobbelaar). He is the type of player that if there is a crisis, they will quickly turn to but sadly his Test career is winding down to a close and the same could quite easily happen to Koch and Malherbe next year or later this year. It's already a pretty big squad and an extra body costs SA Rugby more and can lead to guys standing around waiting to get involved. None of this is a slight on Big Trev. The man played 61 Tests, won 2 World Cups, a Rugby Championship and a Lions Series. Players will rip an arm off for a career like that. #RugbyChampionship #RSAvNZL
