The negotiated salary cap & luxury tax threshold between the owners & the league for 2K26 is as follows; Cap on contract length; 5 years (seasons) Cap on total value of contract: $350 Cap on accumulated bonuses (up front cash, incentives, other forms of compensation with monetary value): $150 Any owners exceeding these limits must pay a Luxury Tax equal to the overspend amount (ex; contract for 5 year/$500 = $150 over the Cap = equal payment of $150 into Luxury Tax) The Luxury Tax money will be held in a separate cashapp account & distributed evenly once a year (September before new game launch) to all teams that never exceeded salary & bonus caps once, in the form of league revenue sharing.
