@TheRealMike

Mad rocket scientist - views are my own. Dismayed Brexit and all it represents. Never give up hope of re-joining and regaining EU citizen rights taken from us.

@SVG__Collection I quite often buy CDs. Most recent was Sonic Youth, Daydream Nation. OK a little retro I admit.

@MehdiHacks Except they are not the best, not by a very long way, especially when you consider what the professionals have access to.

Did you know that 3 of the best HF SDR receivers in the world (Perseus, Elad FDM series, and TitanSDR) are all developed by Italian companies? Italy is home to great ham radio products too (like the Mazzoni Midi loop antennas, Begali keys, SPE amplifiers etc) Wonder why!

@FSd170234815 @ClarksonsFarm1 It would be if it were in central London, but it isn't and you need to get a tube to get into London proper. Victoria wouldn't allow it. Could be worse, could be Kings Cross, but how come Waterloo is so much closer?

@osteogenesis @CoHSATOxon For me, Oxford by car, 20 minutes. By the two busses, 2 hours. Cost ~£6 about the same. But it is a mute point. They have made it so unpleasant that I no longer ever go there. They still squander our council taxes on the city though and neglect the surrounding towns and villages.

@CoHSATOxon Still rather take the car than pay £20 per week for a bus pass and longer trip.

Coalition for Healthy Streets and Active Travel
In shock news, motorists have switched to public transport to avoid paying the Oxford Congestion Charge. A spokesperson* said: "This is exactly what was meant to happen, and it did."

Interesting - I must be getting old. Apart from Oasis, I never listen to any of these, even though I do listen to many current groups, not just oldies. I see they are mostly solo artists rather than bands. Why is that? bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@TheRealMike The part has little nibs at the bottom to avoid mechanical stress. But probably not sufficient. Any recommendations for glue which does not affect the PCB / plastic parts?

@flo_0_ You will need to glue that down - that's probably why it broke in the first place. They should have glued it or used a through hole part.

@TMFAssociates But what about the churn rate ? If you can't get a fast terrestrial service then Starlink is an great option, but once an area gets fibre, that's usually cheaper. Some areas will never have fibre, but many here in the UK are finally getting connected. Is it the same elsewhere?

52 days vs 48 days for the previous million net adds. The point at which the S-curve starts to flatten out is when it becomes possible to estimate the ultimate market size...

@Feargal_Sharkey I think there is more to this as that map would imply they are practically all at it, but some much more aggressively so than others. But that might not be the case. The map needs re-calibrating accounting for depravation rates to see the true picture.

@SimonCarGuy @OxfordshireCC You now need an old Landrover Defender round here, a) can't go fast enough to hit too hard, b) large tyres hardly so notice when it does hit potholes, c) ride already rough so driver used to the jolts, d) can drive around it, even where there isn't a road. [Note this is a joke]

Neighbours daughter’s car after meeting this in the village @OxfordshireCC The roads in West Oxfordshire have been allowed to disintegrate to the point they are dangerous for all road users. This is a national problem that needs a national strategy to tackle it.

I have done a re-spin without the 7805 regulator as with testing it seems the buck regulator built into the nano-every is a lot more capable than the linear one in the nano v3. Enough to power the LCD and Bluetooth without getting hot. Next job, design a 3D printable case.
