Making the most of this afternoon, getting Wednesday's DXChrono Desktop (desktop.dxchrono.com) build ready for release, updated docs will be ready to go with it. Think key bits will be the 3D Globe & better map resolution, lots of little quirks fixed

Today, my son and I created a flower bed in the neighborhood where we live as a voluntary community work. I'm teaching my son that what you can give to another person is worth more than what you have🤑. Many people passed by and just watched us work👀. Only one poor simple man helped us🤔. We worked for five hours and moved over a ton of earth. My son and I are proud of the work we accomplished, and our neighbors are delighted with the beautiful flower cluster outside their windows.#myson #flowers #communityaction

Added some ram optimisations, this really means on things like 4GB or under Raspberry Pis it will use less ram when rendering maps

@mm9sql @SteveTrewick @GarethDeanPR We changed all the fixtures to LED…even in the workshop/shack & garden. Seemed the sane thing to do! Our living room originally had mains PAR 30 halogen spots…they used at least 800W just for that room & were very hot. Now all the lights in the house would use less electricity!

If you buy Phillips bulbs and select a warmer colour temperature, then LED transition is really easy. We had a 🏠 with a dark kitchen, so the Phillips LED spots were on a lot. 10yrs later, not a single one replaced. We’ve replaced many off-brand crap spots in our new 🏠

@SteveTrewick @rdavies6 @GarethDeanPR I only have 1 D at the back door outside and as i rarely use said light i just havent bothered to change it :)

@mm9sql @rdavies6 @GarethDeanPR Same. Swapped almost all ours out for LED as soon as they were available. Which reminds me, I’ve one D shaped fluorescent in the bathroom that survived and the only place to get replacements was Wilko 🙄

@rdavies6 @GarethDeanPR I've zero desire to go back to the old bulbs, same as you less heat, more reliable better light

@mm9sql @GarethDeanPR LEDs are really the best option for lighting imho…good life, nice illumination and noticeable much less heat given off that incandescent lighting. Definitely pleased we changed to LED

@rdavies6 @GarethDeanPR Same here 5+ years and not a single ones failed.

@GarethDeanPR We fitted Philips Master LEDSpot 4000K LEDs everywhere in our house. We have had about 5 fail in 8 years (from around 150). Not cheap at around £10 (many carry the for £13+) but they give a very bright, vibrant light and good longevity. Our preferred option.

Spent way to much time this afternoon optimising DXChrono Desktops 3D Globe but i think I have got it to the best I can.
