An ICE agent jumped in to save a 1-year-old at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport on Thursday, the Department of Homeland Security shared in a video on X.
DHS said the agent who was stationed near the security checkpoint performed "a Heimlich maneuver that restored the infant’s breathing after nearly two minutes."
Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin responded to the rescue on social media, saying "if our agent had not been there and stepped up, this could have been a tragic outcome."

DEVELOPING: Gov. Bob Ferguson’s first approval rating is the lowest in over 30 years
A Cascade PBS/Elway poll found Ferguson has the lowest first-six-months job rating of any governor since Democratic Gov. Mike Lowry in 1993.
Only 32% of voters would rate Ferguson’s first six months as “excellent” or “good.” That’s eight points lower than Jay Inslee’s first-six-months rating, 11 points lower than Christine Gregoire’s, and 20 points lower than Gary Locke’s at the same point in their first terms. Twenty-two percent of respondents said Ferguson was doing a “fair” job, and 31% said he was doing a poor job.
