I've never cared about a game enough to reach the highest rank except for Deadlock. Last year I hit E6 and playing high mmr lobbies has been the most fun I've had in a competitive game. This year my competitive goal is to hit top 20 #deadlock

@prodbyalter I agree, im not the biggest fan of the urn changes either but I'm open minded

@TheRealShiere to be fair the urn change feels absurd I feel like this specific patch is more disruptive than the meta changes that have happened

I feel like in most competitive games people are too scared to see things change. deadlock specifically seems to have an outrage about it every 2 months. it seems rare to see people super happy about a core mechanic being changed because they're so used to playing the old way

@crayonfps Feels much better for sure, im shocked this wasn't what they put in in the first place but I assume they wanted quick feedback

new urn implementation is a step in the right direction - still not a fan of the 10% = urn of doom so would like to see incremental comeback someday tested

@gabefollower You were seen as an impactful person in the community for a while. I don't see why you'd want to look like the bad guy for no reason

hard honing muscle and mental memory in a constantly changing experimental game such as deadlock is, by definition, a waste of time (a fun waste of time). if you enjoy doing that, that's completely fine, but you have to understand what you signed up for. if you want to participate in tournaments under these conditions, be prepared to lose because of a random test that the developers decided to run on a large group of players. cry on twitter is free, but it's not the most productive way to get things to improve and i'll keep doubling down on this and ragebaiting cause i got tired of seeing the same opinions that obviously doesn't represent (neither do i) the majority by being the loudest.

@GenericEdBoi Ye, thats been my experience too. Not as rough as this though. I'm probably gonna either street brawl it up or play some variety till they fix it up

Today was a good day of Deadlock! 13 Games, 12 losses, 6 key player MVP things. It was EPIC!!!!!!!

based on the comments, apparently crying "pros" on twitter because of a "sudden" change in a closed test that is supposed to be iterated all the time is equivalent to posting proper feedback on a forum that was specifically created for that purpose. deadlock's twitter crybabies keep suprising me with the worst takes possible.

This deadlock game is so insane, I went from being in a great mood playing well to one of the biggest crash outs I’ve had in a while, I haven’t felt emotions for a game like this in such a long time and I hope valve treat it well

Abrams is the best character to have looney tune chases on

People are complaining that this apollo change makes him busted when it straight up removes the biggest pain point of the character. (also that change is surrounded by big nerfs) It does make the stun apollo build stronger but he's much more catchable

New patch low key just turns the game into an aram. Whatever team is tankier/has more zone control auto wins the urn. I see the potential with the urn making it a cool king of the hill type deal but its not there quite yet. It also just shouldnt be mid
