@AutismCapital That’s speed tape. No concerns about the plane itself.
But questioning my life choices as to how I ended up on a Spirit flight.

@iceiceclinton Am I allowed to jerk to this? Asking for a friend

@shawnjc12 @barstoolsports No one is ever too old to have fun.

@RyanShead @LeadingReport Remember when the political left saw the exploitation of undocumented workers by businesses as a problem?
Anyone that’s been politically aware for more than a few years remembers.
English

@LeadingReport That’s why every business should turn ICE and the FBI away.

@Livieparis2024 @Djoko_UTD Revenue generation determines pay. If the sport overall makes less, then the individual participants within it will make less. If you want equal pay across genders in sports… recruit more fans to that sport. Not just for your favorite team, but for the league as a whole.
English

@Djoko_UTD You're just a hater at this point....they totally deserve equal pay because on the WTA circuit the woman are playing their BEST lever, entertaining the same crowd and pushing their limits. Of course women would be losing against men, BUT she still put up the damn fight

@ProudSocialist 1) wealth isn’t finite. It isn’t “hoarded”it’s created.
2) profits are the result of meeting of the societal needs of a free society… reflection of consumer choices and the subsequent valuation of the organizations meeting the demands of consumers.
3) poverty is the default.
English

They told us there’d be breadlines and poverty under socialism yet under capitalism we have breadlines, poverty, endless war, and 3 billionaires who hoard more wealth than half of our nation. We need to shift the economy from production for profits to production for social needs.

Posted anonymously to Reddit this morning... "In the longest line I have ever seen at our local church food bank, been standing here for an hour, its 34 degrees. A small town in Kentucky with a population of <4800. Basically 10% of the population is waiting at the food bank."
English

@ProudSocialist So instead, we can just skip the middle man - give government officials unlimited power to enrich themselves directly and remove any possibility they can be removed for doing so.
English

@papayastandards Fun fact: when I was a kid there was an organisation called “the spastic society”
After the term became offensive, they rebranded to “scope society”
I hear the kids now use “scopey” instead of spastic.

@Polymarket The Department of Education has not stopped recognizing degrees, but a recent proposal from the administration has reclassified many degrees as "non-professional".
This seems like little more than bruised egos.
English

@LizBarry555 @elonmusk If it’s so easy and the opportunity is so large, wouldn’t its potential be able to be realized without massive subsidies?
We could just… do it. No government backing.

@ProudSocialist He doesn’t have to. He chooses to after losing his wife and being on his own. He enjoys being a greeter.
This post (unintentionally) identifies the problem with collective action - ignoring the autonomy and subjective choices of individuals.

@Thedukeistheman @SantaCawws @ProudSocialist How? This is an event hosted in Landover, MD for federal employees that have been furloughed. So now ‘capitalism’ is to blame when the state fails to pay its (massive) direct workforce?
English

@SantaCawws @ProudSocialist yes, it does.
