While Trump is invading other countries for oil and accepting fake awards for "bRinGing bAcK cOaL," nations like China are outpacing us in modern energy advancements. A few more years of this and we're going to lose whatever foothold we have left in the race. Yes, China is set to outpace the US in nearly every modern technological field or industry due directly to the Trump administration's backwards policy agenda. His tariff policies and trade wars are alienating allies who are turning to China for trade. Which likely helped contribute to China's record breaking trade surplus. Trump's tariffs are also hurting domestic industries, adding substantially to the deficit and passing costs down to American consumers and businesses. In almost every case, Trump's tariffs are acting as a regressive tax against working-class Americans and small businesses. Recent data shows that American's are footing 96-98% of the bill! Worse yet, his administration's roll back of EPA regulations, and its focus on reversing decades worth of scientific innovation, progress and advancements in renewable energy, the electric vehicle industry and adjacent technologies is undermining our global competitiveness—not excluding massive funding cuts to scientific and medical agencies and their research, vaccine development, and progress on treating cancer, infectious diseases and chronic and congenital illnesses. Trump is also responsible for defunding education and limiting opportunities for future generations of scientists and researchers. China could very well poach our scientists if we fail to adequately preserve an education system that fosters scientific discovery and development. Trump is also risking our global advantage by defunding or dismantling multiple agencies responsible for protecting the environment and maintaining public health and safety. This shift is happening because of Trump, and not in spite of his efforts. Especially as he continues to escalate both economic and diplomatic tensions between the US, its allies, its foreign competitors and trade partners, and as he continues pulling the US out of long standing, global alliances. To make matters worse, most economic experts explain that we're currently in a dot-com era bubble because AI companies are extremely overvalued and the industry itself accounts for a vast portion of the country's GDP. Trump has no inherent knowledge of these impending risks, nor concern for these growing problems—he's too busy taking bribes, lavish gifts, crypto investments, political and financial contributions from foreign governments, overseas monarchs, petro-fascists, technocrats, billionaires, and rich corporate benefactors in exchange for political favors, economic and defense deals, lax regulations, financial aid, influence and access to the president, and in some cases, clemency. Yes, while Americans suffer under the economic tyranny of his kleptocratic administration, Trump is monetizing the presidency to the tune of billions, dealing in massive insider enrichment schemes, pursuing personal business deals overseas, obsessing over ballrooms, vanity projects and grotesque monuments to himself, deregulating financial institutions, while also pushing crypto friendly policies and scams on the public that benefit him financially. Due directly to Trump's policies, our adversaries are more powerful than they were prior to his presidency. They have become stronger both economically and geopolitically. We've alienated our allies, withdrawn from long standing global alliances, and have forced our democratic partners and once friendly middle powers to turn to nations like China for trade.
