@supplementmaxer What do you think about melatonin? Given what Peat has said about serotonin, and with all the research on melatonin plus people like Richard taking 50mg, it's hard to make up your mind on it.

@LiamCristiano @PGC1a_RB Very interesting take. I consider nitric oxide toxic, and as I can see you've read Peat a bit too. It's not only the loss of contractile capacity of the vessels, it's also the metabolism-disrupting effect. Maybe tadalafil is only for non-Peaters in bad health with high lactate

Yes. Nattokinase is just the beginning here. Post-covid, we all need to consider proactive blood vessel remodelling interventions. Peaters love to hate tadalafil cause Peat said nitric oxide=bad - and yet - especially at a low dose, the benefit of driving more blood to hypoxic tissue, particularly in conjunction with peaty prometabolic interventions, such as FAO inhibitors and t3 itself, would PROBABLY outweigh any "stress signal" from the somewhat elevated increase in nitric oxide. Just like stretching reduces tumor growth, getting better blood flow to more of your tissues is the primary prevention against the accumulation of hypoxic, glycolytic tissues.

Another tadalafil/cialis info thread from another angle, as I like to look at different compounds from various other angles Stereotypical 'make pp hardwood' compound does so by targeting the enzyme PDE5 Shows promise in primary prevention and 2ndary cancer reduction risk

@BerbarianWizard Do you promote sodium butyrate supplementation throught Peat said butyrate stimulates production of serotonin ?

Black seed compounds showed predicted binding against hantavirus proteins in a 2026 computational study A 2026 study screened 30 compounds from black seed (Nigella sativa) against a key protein from the Sin Nombre hantavirus. The strongest predicted binders were: Dithymoquinone: -7.9 kcal/mol Nigellicine: -7.4 Nigellidine: -7.0 Thymoquinone: -5.9 Dithymoquinone is basically 2 thymoquinone molecules linked together, and it produced the best result in the entire screen. The researchers then ran a 100 ns molecular dynamics simulation on the Dithymoquinone complex and found it remained structurally stable throughout the simulation. The compound interacted with residues ARG199, GLN335, and VAL219 inside the RNA-binding crevice of the viral nucleocapsid protein, theoretically interfering with viral replication. The paper repeatedly states this was computational only: no cell studies, no animal studies, no human evidence, no therapeutic claims. DOI 10.1016/j.insi.2026.100301

3-5 g of glycine with pre-workout 3-5 g in your intraworkout-hydration/EAAs/carbs 3-5 g in your post-WO shake Another optional positioning of 3-5 g sprinkled on your postWO meal There's your 12-20 g glycine/day, whether you respond negatively to pre-bed glycine or not

@BerbarianWizard Jamal, what do you think about melatonin? Because it's hard to make up my mind about it, it's divisive between what Peat said and what studies have shown about 50 mg or higher melatonin consumption, like Richard does.

People underestimate how much the maternal endocrine and neurochemical environment influences fetal brain development, sexual differentiation, penis development, HPG axis programming, metabolism, immune function, behavior, cognition, and long-term health outcomes.
Adam Urato, MD@AdamUrato1

NEW Study: Fetuses with prenatal SSRI exposure have brain & placental alterations seen on in utero MRI. This is now the 13th consecutive MRI study showing that prenatal SSRIs are associated with altered fetal brain development. #MOESM1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">nature.com/articles/s4138… "Importantly, we observed decreased left & right hippocampal volumes, as well as reduced cortical gyrification index, curvedness, & surface area in fetuses exposed to SRIs compared to unexposed controls after adjusting for maternal depression scales." "SRIs cross the placenta & potentially influence fetal brain development by altering levels of critical neurotransmitters. Indeed, changes in serotonin levels during critical periods of brain development could alter the formation of neural circuits & potentially lead to brain structural alterations & subsequent neuropsychiatric outcomes."
