Today we released the June 2025 core update. We'll update our ranking release history page when the rollout is complete: status.search.google.com/incidents/riq1…

@lilyraynyc LLMs.txt files solve a problem that doesn't exist. LLMs are not struggling to consume our content (unless you have it in javascript without SSR).
The only benefit of these files is for the LLM companies if they ever choose to adopt it. Less resources to read a .md file.

Google says the internet is just fine, there's 45% more crap on the internet now than there was before, so everything is good.
@Google, use code "mordy45%" to get 45% off your next comms consultation.

Google VP of Search, Nick Fox, questions the CTR studies done on AI Overviews and says the web is thriving. John Mueller also echoed that the web is thriving seroundtable.com/google-on-ai-c…

@gaganghotra_ They've been heavy in the AI game long before OpenAI, so I wouldn't be surprised.

@rustybrick It reminds me of the days when fax machines were popular. We used to get a lot of spam faxes, and many of them were penny stock recommendations. We would get at least 10-12 a week. I'm sure it was a pump and dump scheme.

I was blocked by this mod now, but they keep avoiding my comment. It didn't look like spam really, but isn't the question. My point was I didn't see anything that indicated the person in question was harassing or doxing a mod.

@TheSEOPub @DavidGQuaid @TheSEOPub, truth still lands, no matter who did the banning. Facts > drama.
English

@DavidGQuaid So if it wasn't the mod who banned him, then who banned him?
Most of the messages didn't really look like spam to me, but even if they were, that is a different argument that has nothing to do with what I said.
English

He falsely claimed that a mod he had an interaction with banned him. And it was for egregious spam, which is why it still stands and the content was removed. It doesnt matter if some of it was in relation to a useful question and it doesnt matter if he's the CEO. Its was spam. Closed and shut.
English

Ok, so a CEO of an SEO brand was banned by the Mods of r/SEO for egregious spam. And we had a long dialoge on Reddit DM 2 months ago.
I didn't know - because I turned down his LinkedIn invite (I dont personally know him) and he posted a video ranting that he was banned because we had a disagreement, and an attempt to Doxx me because he misses his free advertising....
What a ridiculous waste of time - but I have access to ALL of his posts.
We had been having a debate - and I was going to block him for repetition of the same points about his product when we found 3 months of back 2 back posting about his products, signups, monthly costs.
Oh and there were 2 or 3 posts about him helping people. In the post we had our tet-a-tet he may have been helping someone find a product that may have been his.
We offered him a chance to instead use a brand account and to stop egregiously self promoting.
the number 1 role of a mod on Reddit is spam patrol. Almost all of the reports, tools, options are all about going through flagged spam - by Reddit and users.
Doxxing and bullying Admins because you got caught spamming Reddit and trying to pretend it was something else is downright childish and ridiculous.
