A few years ago, my then-girlfriend asked me to go to Taco Bell for her. The total was ~$3.40. I paid $5 cash. They said, do you mind if we give you your change in quarters? Some customer had just given them a bunch. I said yeah, no problem. When the quarters (six of them) clinked in my hand, I could hear from the higher pitch of the clinking that they were not regular quarters. Went home. Checked the dates. They were pre-1964 quarters — 90% silver. I set them aside. Each of those quarters is now worth about $14. I netted over $80 from a visit to Taco Bell. Get your girl tacos, boys.
