🎂 I volunteer to bake birthday cakes for kids in Foster Care/shelters This girl turning 4 asked for an Elsa cake I tried sugar work and it turned out so cute! I had 3 mini heart attacks and 1 existential crisis while breaking those sugar glass shards but LOOK AT THIS CAKE!

my manager called me into his office after I showed up late for the third time this week because my toddler was sick. i was 100% prepared to get fired. instead, he handed me a gift card to starbucks and the number for his personal backup nanny service. he said, “Go home. Take care of your kid. This company won't remember your overtime in twenty years, but your son will remember you being there." 😭
