@SimMattically @_etozheden Maybe we share the same perspective: the Marketplace could have been handled like CurseForge, but integrated directly into the game. They could have also included options to support creators, or even allow temporary paywalls if the creator wanted to.

@_etozheden Anything I say about this can be countered with "but the operating costs" or "but the data probably shows," so my idealistic view doesn't really matter. But this is definitely not the best EA could do for the community.

@MaryTS34 @_etozheden They said that Project Rene has become an exclusively multiplayer game. On the other hand, Next Evolution is described—alongside The Sims 4—as a single-player game, so Project Rene and Next Evolution are clearly two different games.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: people's game would work much better if they would just STOP playing at 3X speed. I only play at normal speed and many things that people find unplayable (like infants, high chairs and EVEN MY WEDDING STORIES) work very well for me.

Unpopular opinion, but if something worked perfectly fine in 3 previous games (and their spin-offs), the newest game should build on it or improve it, not avoid it altogether. 😭 Sims 4’s engine just isn’t strong enough to handle timing and information properly. Playing any of the older Sims games makes it so obvious how unresponsive Sims 4 is. And let’s be clear: using third speed is never the player’s fault, even if they live on it 24/7, it’s the game’s fault if it causes issues or lag. Fun fact: Sims 4 actually has the slowest in-game clock out of all the main entries… and its third speed is significantly slower too.

@jackofallgames7 I believe that, with or without the open-world feature, the outcome will be the same. Just like what happened with the 32-bit version of TS4, sooner or later Maxis will be forced to drop support for older-generation consoles

As an Italian, it immediately reminds me of when some of my (unfortunately) fellow countrymen say, 'Mussolini did some good things too' — it really annoys me when I hear that. 😠
