I should feel confident. I don't. I feel nervous, very nervous. This is what Spurs have reduced me to.

@Billie_T Not nervous at all tbh. I am resigned to our fate, second time in my lifetime.

Danso made a huge error but I am not going to go mad at him, he played well and has been better than most others this season when he has played

I do not want De Zerbi as the Tottenham manager. I do not rate him at all and do not like his character. However, I am a Tottenham fan and want nothing but success and will support the team and manager going forward. I really, deep down hope I am wrong about De Zerbi.

@roryspurs Possibly, but it was pre-social media, and I am sure many would have been just as vocal back then as they are now.

@TheSpursDigest Absolutely fine and I completely respect the position. But it is still relevant to question the attitude to Gazza, Hoddle, van de Vaart and many others who have very chequered pasts and have committed ‘cancellable’ acts but would all get a standing ovation at WHL

I do understand the views on de Zerbi’s comments on Greenwood and think he should address them, but the selective cancelling that goes on is nuts. Gazza is revered and was frequently a very naughty boy himself.

@roryspurs That is whataboutery, and each incident has to be judged on its own merits, and while you did not mention what Greenwood did, it is central to the current circumstance and cannot be ignored.

@TheSpursDigest I haven’t mentioned what Greenwood did. But what de Zerbi did is nothing like what Gazza did.

Plenty of doubts about De Zerbi and clearly, no guarantees with anyone. But Tottenham landing a coach of his quality & status at this point, in this position, would frankly be a no-brainer compared to alternative options. What long-term? One focus: stay up.

Spurs' preference is a permanent new head coach. Can they lure a currently-employed manager to save the day, convince De Zerbi or be forced to turn to another interim boss? football.london/tottenham-hots…

I have been following Tottenham for over 50 years and have been to 100's of games, and as a long-standing supporter, I do not wish to see my club associated with Roberto De Zerbi. That is my position.
