I tend to argue against my own side more than for it. I think people see this as a stance. It's not. It's a challenge. If I care about something I want it to have the best argument possible. Just because I dispute what you say doesn't inherently mean that I'm against your cause.

Totally false. The founders were clear that this form of government would not work absent the moral foundation which all of them believed in, whether or not they were Christians or Jews, very much including the ones who wrote the establishment clause. Go read the Constitution. The only thing it prohibits is the federal government establishing an official national religion.

The indigenous people of this country are white Europeans. They are the ones who founded the United States and populated it nearly exclusively in the beginning.
