Tomorrow marks a key milestone in the Europe-wide rollout of Tesla FSD Supervised. The Dutch approval will be presented and discussed in a European working group meeting with regulatory authorities from all member states, scheduled for 13:30–14:30. Writing code “before AI” is still the underrated skill. AI should be the junior pair programmer, not the whole engineering department. Use cheap models for boilerplate, docs, refactors. Use stronger models when architecture, debugging, or security actually matter. Otherwise you’re just paying premium tokens to generate premium spaghetti

Rather than getting in a tizzy about the cost of GitHub Copilot, consider writing code as you would before AI and use less costly models for most work.
