For the last two years, most people experienced AI as a co-intelligence tool - something you prompt, steer, and work with. In addition, Anthropic found that 81% said AI had already taken a step toward their vision. The most common areas where AI had already delivered were productivity at 32%, cognitive partnership at 17.2%, learning at 9.9%, and technical accessibility at 8.7%. The most interesting part: people are not neatly split into optimists on one side and pessimists on the other. Hope and alarm often coexist inside the same person.
