@OctopusEnergy with Eon offering rates encompassing the April discount, for their EV tarrifs, offering a 5p/unit off-peak rate, I was wondering if you had any plans? I appreciate their PV export rate is trash but for battery/EV only customers, it's hard to ignore 2p a unit diff.

@ErikTwice Just in case I came off preachy, what I'm trying to say: the juice for Chainsaw Man is very much worth the squeeze IMO. Yes, there is fan service, but the ratios are so much more biased towards good artistic content Vs cheesecake compared to a lot of work out there.

The #ChainsawMan film was a blast! Constantly funny, fantastically animated and even charming and pretty at times. Loved, not just to watch it, but to see others love it as much as I did.

@ErikTwice My stream of consciousness journal entry I penned immediately after leaving the theater: "Just draw the nipples. You've already crossed the Rubicon of elective erotica" Great flick though. I appreciated the juxtaposition of animation styles, especially apparent towards the end.

I loved how colorful it was. The anime was drab, I'm glad they realized that a film where our titular Chainsaw Man rides a shark to battle against his love interest needed to be extremely colorful. It's a bit messy and the couple fanservice shots are dumb, though.

@ErikTwice There are interesting hooks to keep it in my rotation. The overall dystopian setting alone is engaging enough for that. To expand on my strongest reaction to the show: I'm glad to see 'moe' character design and presentation take a back seat. More of this please. P.S NHK 4 life

@TheTrainRush No, I totally get it. It is way out there. For me it’s the opposite, I don't like realism or grounded stories much, I prefer exaggeration and fantasy. Weirdly enough, some of the social satire, like the teacher ignoring the bomb threat was painfully grounded.

#Sanda has blown me away, by far one of the strongest first episodes I've ever seen. Top-notch animation, absolutely deranged plot including stabbings, love triangles and Santa Claus. Unique character designs and humour carry the rest. Can't wait for the next episode!

@ErikTwice ...but the story might just be a little bit too mad-cap for me. I've been seeking humanistically grounded pathos/melancholia of late, over escapism. Not a flaw of the show, but more an expression of contemporaneous taste-alignment 2/2

@ErikTwice Stylistically, absolutely. It is charmingly outside of the safe 'default' anime template in its presentation. Lashings of Tim Burton in the aesthetic. Agreed on the character designs too, in a more general sense. 1/2
