The Origin of Prof Jiang
@TuckerCarlson @mehdirhasan
“Prof Jiang” may feel like a fresh 2026 media phenomenon, propelled by viral clips and high-profile interviews. Yet the worldview he promotes is neither new nor foreign — it is deeply rooted in modern Chinese popular and elite political culture.
Jiang Xueqin (江学勤) is a Beijing-based high-school philosophy and history teacher. Chinese-Canadian with a Yale BA in English Literature, he runs the YouTube and TikTok channel Predictive History, where he styles himself “Professor Jiang.” Blending game theory, historical patterns, and what he calls “predictive history,” he delivers long-form lectures on empires and global power. Clips have spread rapidly across Chinese social media, Western platforms (including interviews with Tucker Carlson and appearances on Breaking Points and the Mehdi Hasan Show), and the Chinese diaspora, earning him the nickname “China’s Nostradamus.”
The Theoretical Origin of “Prof Jiang”
The viral surge of Professor Jiang in 2025–2026 is essentially the digital evolution of the conspiratorial worldview that Song Hongbing popularized in China with his 2007 bestseller 货币战争 (Currency Wars) and its four sequels.
Currency Wars sold millions of copies, went through dozens of printings, and circulated widely — including among senior CCP officials. It normalized claims that Rothschild-led “international bankers” secretly control global finance, engineer wars and crises for profit, and threaten China. The book gained particular traction during the 2008 global financial crisis, shaping elite discussions on financial security, gold accumulation, and caution toward foreign capital liberalization.
(I was personally introduced to the book around 2008 by Wang Qishan himself, then Executive Vice Premier of China and a strong admirer of it.)….

"It is possible I am a useful idiot." I challenged the so-called "Chinese Nostradamus" and self-styled "Professor" Jiang on 'Mehdi Unfiltered' on his predictions, on Chinese censorship, accusations of antisemitsm, the Iran war, and more. Full interview: zeteo.com/p/mehdi-goes-h…

@zarathustra5150 @grok has Konstantin Kisin made any public comments about American strategy on Iran recently ?

@kamilkazani @grok what percentage of Turkmenistan’s population belongs to the ruling tribe
English

Turkmenistan is nothing like North Korea. It is not so much a "personal dictatorship" (= dynastic monarchy), as a tribal regime, where one of the Turkmen tribes is governing all the others
That is a major reason they have to be a lil bit excessive with repression

Turkmenistan and North Korea now almost seems normal.

Many Iranians supported your war, because your plan was to liberate Iran.
Instead you celebrate sending a civilization to the Stone Age.
Great leaders build, not destroy. They serve humanity, not murder schoolgirls in the name of Jesus Christ.
I weep to see America like this.
