A landmark year for Piastri. The championship leader and favourite for so much of the tour in just his third season. Could and arguably should have been champion. I do wonder how the net total of the receipts he will have kept on team decisions will influence his next steps.

@SpannersReady They literally left them both out, to protect Norris this weekend. That was the driving decision behind leaving them out, to avoid double stacking Norris on pits. Poor.

@laurogeitabat Mclaren got their two drivers trained like well behaved dogs Any other driver, with that much of a gap, who has already thought through the strategy pre race and scenarios would of just drove into the pits anyway and demanded a tyre change to get a free pit stop.

Q: "did you ask to pit?" Oscar: "i asked ‘what are we doing’ because we were getting close to pit entry and i hadn't had a call yet. in that situation you have to trust the team because they have a lot more information. in that scenario i have to trust what the team decide."

@cytrusf1 Leclerc/Piastri at Aston Martin would be pretty killer. However, I strongly believe Piastri goes to RB. If so, and that is already discussed, then Abu Dhabi could get really interesting.

@cytrusf1 Fair but… Norris has had reliability DNF… so Piastri should of ensured he has more points in the bag BUT, he binned it and disappeared for 6 races didn’t he

If Piastri wins next week with Max in 2nd and Lando in 3rd, he'll miss out on the championship by 6 points. You know where he lost 6 points?

The facts are Max, you literally don't have a teammate who's allowed to compete with you. If you add Lando's and Oscar's points and remove Yuki's points that would have defeated Max months ago. This guy deludes himself with nonsense.

@karunchandhok They could of just double stacked, gap was about big enough, 2.5s stop, gap was 3.4 seconds i think, take out the two tyres. We’ve seen it done before

I still don’t understand why McLaren didn’t box Oscar under the SC…. He had a 6.8 second gap to Kimi behind Lando so would have come out clearly in the lead ahead of Max without having to wait for traffic. 🤷🏽‍♂️
