There is a thick fork in the road. On the left route is a smiling wife, 2 or 3 kids running to greet you at the front door, a nice home on a couple of acres, insurance, money in the bank. On the right is a used Harley, middle America motels, open road, reds, beam, The Unknown.

i think about stagnant water a lot. as in an undisturbed pond in a cave where nothing’s moved in centuries. eons. nothing breathes except the most harmful cultures. flesh eating parasites, fungi, sitting atop the stillness like an ancient curse. few things fill me more with fear.

You need to be offense-maxxing. You need to be making people uncomfortable. Friends, women, children, pets, even yourself- we all need to be teased and laughed at a bit. You need to be smashing your Overton window over and over again until you never feel the edges again

You’re capable of so much more than you’ve been convinced of. I beg you to become delusional. To focus your validation on one single thought you have laying in bed at night; from one single question; did I do all I could do today?
