Bulls don’t understand that arguing in 2026 about how awesome Tesla robotaxis are gonna be means they lost They were supposed to have 1M six years ago They could’ve had a significant lead It didn’t happen
Mike P@mikepat711

I have no desire to debate about Tesla or FSD anymore. I don’t give a shit. The truth is going to be what it is regardless of what anyone argues about today. It’s amazing, and if you disagree you either haven’t used it or you’re a big dumb idiot and I don’t care about you.

The comapny is not cheap, either. The last time this company was "cheap" was in 2021. You're paying 20x multiple for single digit growth.

Lots of respect for Mr Wong but couldn’t be farther from the truth. I don’t see a world where $UBER ceases to exist and multiple different OEMs run their own networks. It makes no sense on the consumer level to download 5 apps. It’s also hard to steal 202M daily users.
Ernest Wong@ErnestWongBWM

We studied $UBER and while there is value in the network, ultimately couldn't see how they thrive in an AV world where suppliers get increasingly consolidated and Uber does not own the core technologies Please tell me why I'm wrong.

@wholemars If you look deep into uber you’ll see they have ownership of so many robotics companies. I still think they stand to benefit from being the liquidity provider for these robots + owning pieces of the best companies. I think when you view uber like that it make sense.

I actually really like Rivian I’m just providing my analysis of the deal that was announced. Behind the cheery press release there is a lot of interesting complexity. Even Rivian fans can see that. Check out the linked article below.

@wholemars Omar, are you having a bad day. Do you need some love? Seems like Rivian is triggering you today. Hope you feel better soon. Maybe 14.3 will help a little bit.

@varunv_malhotra @ErnestWongBWM Driverless technology will 100% become a commodity. In a world where the data is democratized how does it not? Teslas only advantage is scale, and they already have a tough time scaling as is.

@ErnestWongBWM Unsure if that trend will continue. Looked into Uber and ended up in my too hard pile. Also will not be surprised if it was an obvious buy in hindsight

@ErnestWongBWM @JonBryant421 I tried to tell you that L4 driving will be commoditized but you still clam that “a network owner without owning any supply can’t win”. Still don’t get that thesis - Does AirBnB own houses? Or Marriott owning hotels? Or visa owning debt? Many cases where that model thrives.

I get what team Uber is doing but I think Rivian has not demonstrated the sophistication to handle such a large investment even if it’s rollout based. They likely will just light up that 300M.

Rivian says it no longer expects to achieve “adjusted core profit” in 2027 as it ramps up research and development spending to accelerate its autonomous driving roadmap.

@wholemars Because Rivian hasn’t shown any sophisticated measures in achieving autonomy. I get what Dara (CEO of Uber) is trying to do - Push everyone to autonomy. But Rivian is a poor example because they can’t scale their own cars as is. Bad deal imo.

My biggest mistake this year was not buying Canadian O&G on the Venezuela dip. I watched all of these names rip 60-70% higher. Sometimes I make mistakes too. $CNQ $SU
