You can never convince me sacking Pochettino for Enzo Maresca didn’t set Chelsea back at least two seasons. Even his biggest hater can see the high octane football we played often. The longer this goes on, the more one question keeps bothering me. What exactly has Chelsea become better at? Recruitment? Debatable. Coaching? Unclear. Winning? Not really. The one thing this club has undeniably improved at is changing. Changing isn’t progress. It’s what you do when the badge is just a line on someone else’s balance sheet.

Chelsea saw Jorrel Hato play half a season and cashed in on Cucurella at the first opportunity. He can do things Marc can't dream of doing, does everything he could do as well, an upgrade. 20 years old, we're more than fine.

This is spot on. This is exactly how I feel. Hato is a young, talented player with real potential, but he's nowhere near the levels required to elevate Chelsea into a team competing for meaningful silverware right now. The Football Manager merchants have enabled BlueCo to get away with this same approach for four years, overhyping potential while the squad stays miles off where it needs to be. We need real winners at this club! @youneshhamou_
