@natemixing Do not live too much in the patterns. FL's pattern creation is amazing, but I've found that if all you do is make patterns and disregard the playlist it'll be more work to make tracks feel less repetitive. Cut up loops! Make automations! Explore!

A person downloaded FL Studio today. He never made music before. What’s one advice you can give?

Christian music (specifically hip-hop) I feel is in one of it's greatest and most polarizing eras. Between the underground/alternative scenes to the pop/commercial works, I think despite some of its shortcomings it's doing the best it's ever done.
