@JosephALyons1 @gogo_science I agree, it can be hard to rationalise. We usually try different suppliers and cutoffs. Co-concentrating detergent can be bad if you conc. many-fold, but changing protein:detergent (and possibly co-purified lipid) ratio can lead to problems, too.

@gogo_science @The_Mbu Not sure it is the filter material - though protein may have a say here. What MW cutoff are you using? What could be happening is as you concentrate the protein:detergent ratio likely changes. Also see here about LMNG micelle properties doi.org/10.1016/j.bbam…

Hey #MembraneProtein #cryoEM twerps! Our protein purified in LMNG-GDN-CHS crashes out when we concentrate on a PES membrane. Is this a know thing? Do people use cellulose acetate? Any suggestions? @The_Mbu @JosephALyons1
