as someone who cares a lot about mental health, BPD is NOT the same as stamping “manipulative liar” on your forehead. borderline personality disorder can express itself in many ways, at many different levels, and it is not a “one size fits all” mental illness. you will find extremely rational people who do suffer from BPD. you will find people who are actively working on the way their BPD affects them. i want to help destigmatize BPD because i do know and knew multiple people with it — all who are very different from one another. please do your own research if you care about mental health, be educated, and use that education to help others. if you have BPD, you should not be written off as unlovable, you should not be seen as difficult, and you should feel you deserve help. i love you guys and hope that whatever mental health issue you might be struggling with, you look to therapy, self educating, or any other healthy coping mechanisms to better yourself. 💛
