There doesn't always need to be a discourse about the strength of the Premier League after each European knockout round. Sometimes circumstances just happen.

@DarrenArsenal1 Im surprised you think Mikel would go with Kepa. I assume he'll say "F sentimentality" Raya will def start. The man is all about winning. Let's see who's right

On the debate i would have said 10yrs ago Raya should start. But times have changed. The squad has to be competative. Competition has to be viewed by all players that when they get thier chance they will and deserve to play. It keeps a squad mindset where everyone remains happy. So I am going to say, knowing Mikel mindset, he will think that Kepa should start. We will win as a team / squad, and will lose as a team /squad

At some point, senior Premier League execs have to offer a proper explanation in public for their leniency towards Chelsea. They owe an explanation to fans of clubs punished more harshly. They owe an explanation to those clubs who did abide by the rules. They have to offer some explanation as to why PSR breaches are deemed far more serious than acts of "deception and concealment". Yes, these are the offences of a previous regime at Chelsea. But inconsistencies run through the PL's defence and their reputation is damaged. They can’t hide from a controversy of this magnitude.

It's not complicated and it's got nothing to do with style of football, nobody wants to see big teams who haven't won anything in a while break their duck. It's standard fan stuff. Almost no champions or challengers are ever actually loved by the 'neutral' because there is no such thing as a 'neutral.' People don't mind City winning the league because it's very easy to compartmentalise and they don't have a big fanbase so people just don't encounter many City fans online and in day to day life. All this stuff about 'style' is utter nonsense.

One thing that AI just absolutely cannot do is write conversationally. If you ask it to generate a book report or a presentation for work or something, it might be able to produce something that looks almost human. But conversational writing means putting the words down on the page (or screen) basically as they appear naturally in your mind, in a manner that captures the emotional essence of what you’re trying to say. AI has no mind, no essence, and no emotion, so it struggles with this. The problem is that conversational writing is a skill. Some people have a natural talent for it, some people don’t, but you have to do it to get better at it. Pretty soon we will live in a society (maybe we already do) populated by people who are technically literate but simply do not know how to express their thoughts and feelings in writing. How could even the most avowed AI enthusiast fail to see why this is a bad thing?

The number of people who clearly use AI to craft basic posts on this site, and replies to posts, is pretty shocking. Once you learn how to spot AI writing, you see it absolutely everywhere on here. It’s unmistakable. The tech has existed for 10 seconds and already huge swaths of people have completely given up on even the simplest forms of creative writing.

Chelsea have been doing their pre-match huddle while standing over the ball in the centre circle since the end of January. The first time they did it was in the Champions League against Napoli. They won, and went through. It's only in recent days that people have really spotted what's going on. Before Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins was rattled by it on Wednesday, the biggest response it had drawn was a look of bemusement from the West Ham manager Nuno. @SJohnsonSport looks at what they do, why they do it and who is behind it... nytimes.com/athletic/70988…

@GoonerTaIk @EduardoHagn They're both vying for RW and CAM minutes. Saka too has played both those roles this season, so its gonna be tough to balance (Madueke exists too). I actually feel Ethan is available for transfer - if suitable bid comes in. 😕

Arsène Wenger on Arsenal winning the league: 🔴🏆 #AFC 🗣️“Arsenal are winning the league — no excuses, no explanations. They have everything it takes to do it. And if they win it, it will not be because their opponents were weak. In fact, this has been one of the greatest Premier League seasons of the century. A season where almost every team has had its moment at the top. There were periods where Bournemouth looked unstoppable, then Sunderland took control, Chelsea dominated, Liverpool surged, Aston Villa looked like contenders, and now Manchester City are having their run. At different moments, every one of these teams made people believe they could win the league. But through all of that chaos, there has been one team that kept standing — Arsenal. Constant. Consistent. Resilient. Even when setbacks came, Arsenal remained there. Their quality, mentality, experience, and belief have taken them further than many expected. And believe me, when Arsenal win this league, it will not just be a title. It could be the beginning of a long and dominant era”.

All the best teams have an individual who stares down adversaries and adversity, who drives his team forward with word and deed. Declan Rice is that man for Arsenal. He made two mistakes, the first punished by Spurs, the second recovered by David Raya, but each time responded simply with even more determination. Of course Rice has to cut out such errors but a point about the first mistake: Arsenal get accused of caution at times, yet here was a confident midfielder, arguably over-confident, dribbling out of his defensive third and being dispossessed by Randal Kolo Muani. Rice wasn’t playing safe. He was taking a risk. Arsenal get accused of being a set-piece XI; here was their best dead-ball deliverer trying to guide a moving ball upfield. Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres got the headlines and the plaudits but Rice was immense. Of course, Spurs were riddled with injuries, suspensions, nerves and the usual lack of leaders. There’s a long way to go in the title race, inevitably twists and turns to come, and Arsenal have to go to Manchester City. But Rice showed they are up for the challenge. His second-half work was some of his best for Arsenal. He read danger, he saw off danger. He covered back, intercepted and tackled. He launched attacks with short ball and long, and occasional dead-ball. He’s Arsenal’s most important player, their driving force, their real leader. In every sense, Rice is central to Arsenal’s title ambitions, especially with Mikel Merino still injured. Rice will need a break at some point. It's an 11-month season with the World Cup. He’s already played 39 times this season, gives everything physically and mentally, can recharge his batteries with no midweek game and prepare for Sunday's game against Chelsea, the club where he started out before being released at 14. Rice recovered from that setback, too. It’s in his nature. #AFC

I’m embarrassed to say this, but I only recently became aware of something that will likely be one of the biggest regrets of my career. Not long ago, I hired an assistant. And for the first time, it forced me to truly see how many hours a week I had been losing. I knew I was busy, but I didn’t realize how much daily distraction had been quietly destroying my productivity. Things like: • scheduling a meeting • rescheduling or canceling a meeting • signing up for industry conferences • back and forth with vendors • insurance questions • booking flights and hotels • coordinating calendars • tracking down documents • handling routine emails • chasing signatures • dealing with logistics that feel small but never stop The other day, I started actually tracking how many of these things come up each day - most of them unscheduled, “quick.” I finally saw how much time they were really costing me. The number was embarrassing. It hit me how many hours I’ve spent over the years on things that had absolutely nothing to do with growing my business, and how much more I could have accomplished if I hadn’t lost hundreds and hundreds of hours this way. More deals.More growth.More momentum. What hurts most is that I always told myself hiring help would be more trouble than it was worth. That it would be a hassle. That training someone would slow me down. That it would be hard to trust someone else. I was wrong. So wrong. This single change is now giving me months of additional time every year. I realized it at 45. Hopefully someone reading this realizes it much sooner.

🗣️ Arteta was asked if he’s surprised to see Liverpool so far from the top of the league despite laying down £450m in the summer in transfer fees: “I think the previous year they didn't spend much and they managed to win the Premier League. That's football and that's the reality of that. At the end, you need a lot of things to go your way. “To be champion and almost everything has to be perfect. And the moment you have issues around the squad or with players injured or whatever it is, then it's not that perfect. We all have gone through those stages and we all go through those stages throughout the season. We have to navigate through that.

Didier Drogba - 4 Pl titles. Henry - 2 PL titles. Drogba at Chelsea- 1 UCL title. Henry at Arsenal - 0 UCL titles. Drogba in finals - 11 goals. Henry in finals - 0 goals. Drogba - 2x African footballer of the year. Henry - 0 European footballer of the year. But Henry is the greatest for stat padding against Bolton while Drogba was a fraud for scoring when it matters.
