The state is the least reliable witness to its own crimes when asked to recall its own violence, especially when you let a cabinet member with a propensity for post-truths become the narrator of history in a parliament session while propagandizing the image of a “bloodless coup.”
Pranesh@kawdigoo

Precisely one of priorities Fiji, Hungary & the US filed in their intervention is trust state-produced military reports over UN/NGO (who rely on war correspondents). Namibia, Netherlands and Iceland also submitted one and arguments diametrically opposed to the "Pro-Israel" block.

Mark my words. This will turn out to be another one of his lies. In the next review there will be a massive increase in the price and if the situation in middle east persists, we will have shortages.

MLK Jr’s phrase was bit of a poetic punch aimed at people who were telling the CRs movement to slow down. Now, gradualism is a political idea that social change should happen in small, slow steps over many years to avoid upsetting the status quo. MLK Jr’s “the tranquilizing drug”

MP’s wake up from “the tranquilizing drug of gradualism” as elections approach. "We are now faced with the fact that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there 'is' such a thing as being too late."

When @FijiGovernment employees claim the children’s hospital lift is installed and working when it clearly isn’t, we have serious ethical and credibility issues! Lying is unacceptable. @slrabuka time to see for yourself and hold those responsible accountable! @fijivillage

Progress has never and will never come from silence or standing on the sidelines. Find your voice. Speak, even when it shakes. Question what doesn’t sit right, even when it scares you. Do better, even if it makes you unpopular. Change is not given its created. Happy IWD!

There is a smaller Pacific version of the Strait of Hormuz - the Jomard Passage in Papua New Guinea. All shipping to and from Australia's East Coast, New Zealand and New Caledonia pass through it.

This "fatherlessness" narrative feels like a massive oversimplification that ignores systemic issues (absence of second income) and risks devaluing the incredible work single mothers do, and ignores the fact that many "fatherless" homes have strong grandfathers, uncles, & family.
