@TheGamingCynics It certainly isnt my favourite thats for sure. Will say tho most games aside from a few like mario galaxy allowed you to use a classic controller or even the gamecube controller

This was the console when Nintendo stopped competing specs-wise and carved out their own unique niche. There's no denying it was incredibly successful for them, but I'd rather had a more powerful console with a regular pad. I wanted innovative games, not innovative ways to control them.

@The_Top_Loader People laughed at the controller but Nintendo still released it while Sony and that silver boomerang one was scrapped and they continued just throwing out the same controller Sony have every console.

@VirtualJames Yep have that and the other one. The remake on the switch is a stuggle

@DistantCollect @Sillensillen Yeh I have a few red cardboards. They were the worst. Even when they switched to black and white instructions

@The_Top_Loader @Sillensillen I like to call those the "third edition" cases. You have the original grid box with "Sega Genesis / Megadrive logo", then the "Sega Genesis / Megadrive 16-bit cartridge", Red case, then finally the cheap cardboard

So were you a .. TAG or NO TAG kinda person?

@VirtualJames The wii had of great rail shooters and light gun games. On the switch the accuracy isnt quite there

@VirtualJames Its weird you know I find the wii remote much more accurate that the joycons we use now on the switch

That doesn't surprise me, it's excellent, and the way you can move with the nunchuck but it takes skill to point at what you're shooting or aiming at. I'm the same with the old call of duty's, I used to love world at war no the Wii. I'd be still playing it if there were servers. That reminds me, I need to see if there are any fan servers for it, wiimifi doesn't have that CoD on it sadly, has Mario Kart and others tho

@P4b57_0B4N @UCanBeatVideoG1 It sure is a fantastic game that almost no one mentions. Glad I got mine early on in my collecting so it wasnt expensive when I bought it

Recently @UCanBeatVideoG1 did a video on Rocket Knight Adventures. This was one I passed up renting as a teen so many times, and then forgot it existed... and I tragically lumped it into that "Sonic Clone Era" (I wasn't a big Sonic fan to begin with)... only to find out I had missed out on a Konami GEM! Thankfully the Genesis port is still affordable... but Sparkster, being a late release is far out of my price range for either port.

@VirtualJames I will say resident evil 4 on the wii is my favourite iteration of that game.

@The_Top_Loader Me too its daft isn't it, but the machine, excellent I think, and it's library of games. I'm currently trying to complete Silent Hill: Shattered Memories on it. What a game! The way the phone calls come through the speaker on your remote, incredible

@beepfixer Its not my favourite console either. Will say it does have some gems on it though. But for a nintendo console its near the bottom for me

@The_Top_Loader I'll be the grumpy old man calling it the most overrated console in history. Not that I'm complaining, literally picked up about 20 or so for 1eur/gpb from fleamarkets a few years back :)
