Today, if my system breaks, I can fix it. If needed, I can rebuild my entire setup in a few hours. Arch Linux is now my main system for everything. Switching to Arch wasn’t just changing an OS. It changed how I think.

So why did I move to Arch Linux ? Because I didn’t just want to use a system. I wanted to control it. Arch Linux gave me that. It doesn’t come pre-built. You start from almost nothing — and build everything your way.

I started with Linux out of curiosity. Like most people, I began with Ubuntu. After a few months, I understood the basics —how Linux works, how the terminal operates, and what control actually means.

I stopped using Windows 2 years ago, and built my own system from scratch. Haven’t gone back to Windows. Not even for a single task. That decision taught me far more than just how to use a different operating system. Here’s why I’ll never return. 🧵
