The Weekenders
@The_Weekenders
The Weekenders were one of the early Britpop bands on the Camden scene in 1993, and began in 1993 with songwriter and Blow Up Club promoter Paul Tunkin

Holy sh!t! 🤯 So we are hearing that this demo ⬇️ is potentially Bernard Butler’s unreleased side project after he left Suede in 94. @BritsPieces @britpopnews @suedeHQ

Where to even begin🤯😂 Do you know the band Suede? & their guitar player Bernard Butler? Do you know the song, "Yes" by McAlmont & Butler? (Bernard's band after he left Suede). Their song "Yes" was a HUGE hit in 1995. Well, this cassette is a previously unheard demo of THAT SONG! It gets better. This demo features vocals from Julianne Regan (front woman for All About Eve). It's all been unfolding since our latest installment of Undiscovered & Recovered went live yesterday. When we started listening back to these previously unheard demo cassettes from the 90s, I had a feeling we might just come across something like this. Well, it happened on Episode 8, and I literally have over a thousand more of these tapes. Who knows what we'll find next! Also, I gotta say: Now that we have confirmed, 100%, that it IS Bernard Butler, I really wish I wouldn't have talked so much trash about the guitar player!😂 Thanks to all the amazing people who have watched, & done the detective work! Large sized THANK YOU to @msjulianneregan for being extra wonderful, & shedding some light. SO COOL! #suede #bernardbutler #demotape
