Former Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said she believes the United Kingdom will not exist in its current form within 10 to 20 years. Speaking at a Féile an Phobail event in Belfast, Sturgeon drew parallels between the campaigns for Scottish independence and a united Ireland, predicting Ireland will be united and Scotland independent.

When Ally McCoist first started seeing his partner Viv, the press were following them everywhere.
So McCoist decided to impress her with a quiet weekend away in New York.
They arrived at Glasgow Airport expecting to slip through unnoticed.
Instead, the place was full of Celtic supporters.
McCoist had booked himself on the same flight as the Celtic Supporters Club, who were travelling to Las Vegas for a convention via New York.
“Oh my, what is going on here?”
“This is just a disaster.”
“I am trying to do a wee sneaky.”
By the time McCoist and Viv boarded the plane, everybody already knew he was there.
“I get on the plane and it was like the pantomime villain walking on the plane.”
“They were all booing me coming on with wee Viv.”
McCoist and Viv took their seats near the front.
A few rows behind them were some of Celtic’s Lisbon Lions.
McCoist turned around and looked back at them.
“Guys, will you give me five minutes and I’ll go and get a ball and take you on?”
The Celtic supporters booed him again.
“I knew my place, so I went back through and sat down.”
The flight carried on to New York with McCoist already having spent most of it as the in flight entertainment.
As they came in to land at JFK, the pilot made the usual announcement over the speakers.
He thanked everyone for flying, told them they had been travelling at 33,000 feet and wished them a good stay in New York.
Then he added one final message.
“On behalf of the Celtic Supporters Club, we would like to take this opportunity to wish Ally McCoist and his daughter a happy time in New York.”
Viv was his partner.
Not his daughter.
“I was devastated.”
“I could hear the entire plane in hysterics.”
