@Thecreatorzar In short no. I tried it out for a few days and realised that tiktok artificially inflates your viewership numbers to make smaller streamers feel as if there in value in Tiktok's as a streaming platform, but in reality 95% of those views are from Chinese bot farms.

Can we start inviting smaller creators to these huge $ tournaments instead of already rich creators? I know these bigger creators have larger audiences but it would be nice to see smaller creators get these opportunities as well.. could really change our life 😕

If the streamer you’re watching is about to raid someone, make sure to sprint over to that other streamer’s chat and warn them about the incoming raid. Everyone will think you are so cool and based for doing so.

Live gaming content creators. Keep flinging 💩 at the wall until something sticks. We're still giving the same advice we were giving a decade ago regarding discoverability and things have CHANGED! You can have millions of views on posts/shorts and none of them will discover your live nowadays. With the algorithms getting SO GOOD at keeping people on the platforms it's posted on and ACTIVELY stopping people see your posts that do try divert traffic... I feel like you just gotta keep flinging it out there until people keep seeing your name and eventually go "huh, might go check out their live..."

I've seen a few people mention they don't earn ad money on Twitch, this might be because you have the adult theme tag on (or have it enforced by twitch) This is why I've started playing more games and doing art a bit less because every time I got a warning on my art I would make nothing from ads but they still played anyway :/

Ina | depths (Semi hiatus til April) 🌒🔱
A full breakdown of how much I really made as a fulltime creator, while it lasted: September 13, 2021 to end of 2021: $3,736.57 from Twitch, $5,500 from sponsorships -- 608 hrs streamed (Joined C9 around August this year) 2022: $10,781.56 from Twitch, $15,800 from sponsorships -- 1,335 hrs streamed (Was with C9) 2023: $15,092.76 from Twitch, $16,970.04 from sponsorships -- 1,339 hrs streamed (Left C9, Started full time work) 2024: $21,494.70 from Twitch, $8,018.34 from sponsorships -- 1,134 hrs streamed (Still worked full time, hiatus end of the year) 2025: $5,032.02 from Twitch, $7,810.00 from sponsorships -- 402 hrs streamed In terms of hourly gross, this translates to ~$15.18, ~$19.90, ~$23.94, ~$26.02, ~$31.94 respectively.. but I can't account for all the I spent outside of streams, working on projects and videos.. many of which I haven't even released yet. I ended up going back on hiatus in March because of focusing hardcore on my transit job into what I do now--working in the finance sector. My thoughts are this: making money as a content creator is COOL and all… but being a VTuber and loving art is so, so expensive. I went from being in the negatives (dipping into my own pockets) to barely breaking even in 2024, just to properly fund my content creation while also compensating artists fairly for their work. My YouTube channel was the most annoying to maintain, it cost thousands of dollars to produce all of those videos over my two-year venture, yet it was never monetized and probably will never be. Mostly because I'm no longer a full time creator and don't have time to edit my own videos to offset the costs. I'm too risk averse and I know I would be sinking a few thousand more dollars in to pay editors for the post frequency that is optimal. This goes for YouTube, but it also reflects my general mindset: one thing I hated compromising on was quality, and quality is expensive $$$$ when you outsource the work. There’s absolutely no way I could find what I would prefer without severely underpaying someone, and well, screw that.. Also, the last thing I’ll say about YouTube: I’m still a little sad that my channel will probably never return to a regular schedule. Maybe that makes all of the Warframe andies not want to talk to me anymore, but at least I have others things to look forward in the future now even if infrequent. Like song covers and indie game demos. 🫣 There were times when I considered going back to being a cam streamer so I could at least keep what I earned, but I don’t think I could ever shake my love of art. I also promised my community that everything I made as a full-time creator would go back into making content. I’m glad I can say I stuck to my word, but there were times when I had to use my sponsor money toward medical bills. Being an entertainer was an incredible privilege.. to be able to wake up and stream ten hours of Warframe, Counter-Strike, and League a day--but I constantly worried about my future and saving up to have a family one day. Sometimes I literally fantasize about getting fired from my job just to go back to that life, but I was recently promoted to a team leader after only five months here. As much as I love being an entertainer, my life is 10x more stable as a salaried worker. I’ve been working since I was 14 but wanted to give full-time streaming a try at least once. Now I only stream as a once-a-week hobby. I still hope one day I can find the work-life balance I’ve always wanted. I've always been fully transparent about these numbers but never in a space outside of my Discord. I wanted to be open because I somewhat doubt I'll ever go back to this life and maybe it'll help someone else. That said, I’m proud of the standards I upheld while being a content creator. I’m deeply grateful for everyone who still chooses to hang out with me off-stream on my server while I work my day job. It means the world to me. '~'
