Mainoo’s defensive output was exceptional. High volume of ball recoveries, most ground and defensive duels won, and only centre-backs ahead of him for clearances. A top performance.

ICL I think this is overkill but the general point holds weight, we expect too much from youth players too early.
Guys like Garner that are new flavour of the month (he's very good) and even Arsenal fans are keen on him was SIGNIFICANTLY worse than Mainoo same age and same team.
