@Lesboball Agree but I think the flaws we see at United and at Boro seem to point to a through line of issues that are likely to remain even if we get better players.
I.e. winger balance vs fake wingers, OOP pressure effectiveness etc

I'm kinda in the middle with most takes I see on the TL.
Imo Carrick has shown nothing special or terrible, seems an above average but subelite manager with flaws we've seen here and Boro.
But with no elite options seeming realistically viable for United, I'd keep Carrick.

Carrick is a good dude but we’re obviously riding a wave of “vibes”. Completely unsustainable in the long run. The Data never lies (Villa). Not saying Amorim is better, man management is obvs a crucial part of coaching but we’ll never be seriously challenging under Carrick

Yep Slots tactics hugely played into it aswell, when u leave gaping chasms in both FB slots we'd be foolish to not spam channel runs whenever we got the ball.
Scored 3 but easily could've got 4/5 on another day.

Mbeumo’s general play with deft touches to link up or set up his next action is outrageous. Blink and you may miss it. Top player, but the more touches he takes the more his limitations come to light

@RakV25 @V2_Romario Is that he's got the relentless gene ala a Garnacho but much better athletic qualities, quick trigger and the ability to actually impact games with his on ball quality too.
He's very raw but *potential* to be a true 5 lane attacker ala Dembouz if it all clicks

So method wise (result not actual skill) it's kinda like Sane who was a super smooth lefty LW but not that good at RW dribbling. But for me the biggest plus -

Basically just can't have 2 fake wingers esp without top attacking FBs and (to start the szn) 2 man MF

@V2_Romario I like Cunha which I said even under that tongue and cheek tweet, but it's pretty evident that he's not playing his natural game. While he is still good, I would very much like to sign a proper winger and esp someone like Diomande would be top even if we were to rotate in our F4
