There are stages to pricing as a freelance writer. You don’t wake up one day and charge $300 per blog post. FOR NEW WRITERS, TAKE A QUICK LOOK BELOW: When to Charge Per Word >> SEO blog posts (where volume matters) >> Budget clients >> Simple rewriting projects etc. This model works if you're just starting out or working with clients who need lots of content. But be careful it can lead to undercharging. When to Charge Per Project >> Web copy (About page, landing page) >> Email sequences >> LinkedIn ghostwriting >> Case studies, whitepapers, etc. These require strategy and creativity. Charging per word doesn’t make sense here. The more strategic the task, The more you should charge per project or even per value. Stop letting clients calculate your worth by word count.
