Blocked me too, because someone said he was maki g jay batacharia dolls to sell. I made a grok imagine image of a jay doll, and for some reason he got mad at me, and blocked me. I’ve been following him for years, own all his books and short stories, and subscribed to county highway. I’m going to cancel the paper, and racket now. I like the weekly or twice weekly podcasts, and won’t subscribe without them. Sucks. 😔

No clue why @walterkirn has me blocked, but can someone please tell him to remove or correct this tweet: Racket was never my "employer," nor was I ever an "employee" -- it was just a little side gig Matt Taibbi asked me to do with him, and I readily agreed. It was perfectly enjoyable for the short spurt that it lasted, but Taibbi has now said he wants to focus more on writing, and doesn't want to be obliged to produce "video content" all the time, which I totally get, and actually kind of agree with myself, because my position is, famously, BAN ALL PODCASTS I'm not sure why Walter wants to make a problem where there isn't one, but there is definitely no problem from my perspective! Taibbi and I will still occasionally do stuff together, just not on a twice-weekly schedule. I had no role in Walter leaving the prior iteration of the podcast (I had honestly never listened to it before joining) and had no role whatsoever in becoming his "replacement," other than Matt asking me if I wanted to do a show of some kind, and I said sure. I'm not looking to get involved in any Podcaster Soap Opera nonsense, nothing could be a bigger waste of time, but if he's just going to start making stuff up, I'm left with little choice. So while we're on the subject, I'll also say: I did notice lots of longtime listeners were quite hostile toward me -- as if I give a shit 😂 -- because they were apparently so accustomed to Walter providing a regular stream of oracular-sounding "literary" interpretations of why everything going on with the current presidential administration is so awesome. I hadn't realized Walter played such a powerful role in their lives as perspicacious sooth-sayer, who could always assuage their worries, validate their strong Republican convictions, and explain with sublime confidence how the 700-dimensional chess plan was proceeding right on schedule -- so just sit back, relax, and remember that Donald J. Trump is some sort of mythic savior-figure, still beating the libs at their own game, and still taking down the Deep State, along with his stooge-squad led by RFK -- or whatever the hell else you have to dream up to perpetuate this puerile political cosmology. So, sure, I totally admit I could not deliver the same caliber of therapeutic nostrums to a certain segment of the Racket listenership. Womp womp. But I'm sure they can still tune into Walter on Rumble or someplace, and let their eyes glaze over again.

@drs10909 @mtracey @walterkirn Yeah. I'm just saying that I didn't use that word to him in my reply to one of his posts. I think I commented on his hauteur about the protests and that was enough for him to block me.

Update: I got into the Israel real estate event at Park East Synagogue. Inside I saw at least one table advertising properties in the West Bank, including Kfar Eldad and Karnei Shomron.

Tonight, Park East Synagogue in NYC is hosting a real estate expo to auction off a cluster of Israeli settlements in the West Bank. A synagogue is being used to host the promotion of illegal land sales of stolen land. Promo describes it as "The Great Israeli Real Estate Event":

If you think about it for a moment, it really is mind boggling how stories like the “Hamas mass rape” and the “40 beheaded babies” spread unchecked like wildfire… your mind would have to be primed by so much racism to believe such crazy things without a lick of scrutiny

Professor Derek R. Peterson, a University of Michigan historian and MacArthur Genius Grant recipient, thanked “pro-Palestinian student activists” during a graduation speech today, for “opening our hearts to the injustices and inhumanity of Israel’s war in Gaza.” Peterson teaches history and African studies at the University of Michigan, where he also became chair of the faculty senate in 2025.

SUCCESS! Animal activists who tirelessly work to stop industrialized torture of dogs and other animals are some of the bravest, most noble and most self-sacrificing people I've known, and they just had a rare but very important and well-deserved victory. They've been working for a decade, often in obscurity, to shut Ridglan farms in Wisconsin due to the sadistic conditions in which beagles are bred and kept before being sold for hideous experiments, then killed. (When I first began reporting on the abuses at Ridglan and similar industrial horrors, it was thanks to these activists who kept haranguing me and many in media to pay attention.) Some of the worst corporations systemically abusing dogs and other animals are protected in the US by political officials even though they're violating animal abuse laws on a massive scale: because these corporations buy up federal and state legislators. For the same reason: it's the activists trying to expose and stop this dog and animal torture who are the ones persecuted for peaceful protests: charged with felonies, sometimes even investigated by the FBI under "terrorism" laws. After all these years, @DxEverywhere, @WhiteCoatWaste, @waynehhsiung and others finally got some key federal and state politicians in Wisconsin and DC and national media -- both left and right -- to focus on the atrocities at Ridglan. That led Wisconsin officials to force the closure of Ridglan. All this became a big national media story a couple of weeks ago when the activists protested, trying to rescue the beagles (whom Ridglan planned to sell or kill before closure), and were beaten, tear-gassed and prosecuted by local police and private security. But now Ridglan, due to all this national attention, was forced to liberate the beagles. Look at these majestic dogs -- a breed chosen for experimentation due to their loving docility and trust, and who were bred into the world solely for experimentation, suffering and death -- finally being freed yesterday as a result of these activists' years of unpaid, sometimes dangerous, but always admirable work:

BREAKING Israel is blowing up entire civilian homes in Aadshit al-Qusayr, South Lebanon right now — during a ceasefire. Civilian homes. No justification. Just deliberate terror and destruction to ensure civilians have nothing left to return to. A war crime in broad daylight.

I spoke at "The People vs. Poison Rally" outside the Supreme Court this morning. I talked about the "No Immunity for Glyphosate Act," which I co-authored with @chelliepingree. Corporations should not be shielded from accountability, and Americans deserve their day in court.
