The most powerful skill you can develop: Meta-learning -- learning how to learn. I've completed over 1000 hours of self-study during med school. Here are my 5 simple strategies to help you learn smarter, not harder:

Solopreneurs, I'm curious: Why did you go solo instead of founding or joining a startup?

Programming is knowing how to learn. For years, I've been obsessed with becoming a better learner. I'm 100% an online course junkie. But now that I'm on my coding journey, my "metalearning" skills are more valuable than ever. Want to learn to code? Learn to learn first.

This is what Think Stack should've become. Excited to see what knowledge and wisdom Collider Space is going to bring into the world. Seeing that they're a team and not a single content creator, I have good hopes for this.

What do the communities of PKM and Tools for Thought have in common? They congregate “people who value thinking”. So far there was no ONE place where all those who value thinking can come together “as a community”. Until now. Welcome to Collider Space!

Ever heard of game film? It's a recording of a sports match or practice, shot from different angles so athletes can learn and improve. But what about game film for knowledge work? I've seen some developers code live on YouTube so others can learn from them, but I haven't heard anyone analyzing their performance via the recordings. So, I've been thinking of recording my learning (to code) sessions. Why? To boost my learning pace and help others who want to see the nitty-gritty details of learning a complex digital skill like programming. Do you already watch videos from someone practicing (digital) skills? I'd love to see more examples!

Whiteboards are now available to everybody! And best of all: they work on desktops AND MOBILE. Update to 0.90, and a new "Whiteboards" button will appear in the left sidebar. Happy drawing ✍️

Logseq Whiteboards are here! 🖼️ We love to write in outlines, but an infinite canvas helps us to think more creatively. That's why we've deeply integrated the Logseq outliner with @tldraw! While still in beta, our Backers and Sponsors can start testing today👇

About to relaunch my newsletter. What would be a fitting subdomain? The name of the newsletter is “Sunday School” and it’s about learning how to learn (and teach) digital skills online. Please help me decide 🙏👇

What’s your favorite book on learning? I’ll go first: Ultralearning by @ScottHYoung. It showed me that learning hard skills (fast) is possible by making it a focused project. What book has opened your eyes or given you the best learning advice? 🤓💬

Most people suck at learning new skills. They spend too much time studying and not enough time applying what they know. To learn fast, practice more than you read.

What do you track when learning new skills? I’m working on a skill tracker and dashboard in @NotionHQ and wondering how others use it to manage their learning projects. How do you use it for… • Planning? • Resources? • Practice sessions? Please drop your suggestions 👇 🙏

Note-taking apps are just a means to an end. They enable: • Storing information • Creating knowledge • Sharing insights But you are the one doing all of it. Never confuse the tool with the task.
