@bbjess I’m writing an academic paper on parasocial relationships within streaming and this concept of labeling audiences as family comes up more often than I initially expected. The insight of power imbalances is one most people I’ve talked to don’t even consider so I appreciate this.

There are plenty of streamers who engage in 'toxic' behavior like this BTW! Not all of them are AWARE that what they do and say could have negative effects as well as positive ones. from this experience i learned not to refer to my chatters as Family- and I try to recognize unfair social power imbalances like most things- theres nuance and everyone circumstance can be different.

I’ll never forget hearing a streamer I respected say he targeted his content/acted more fatherly/big brotherly towards people with disabilities because they’re more likely to spend their government aid on Gifted Subs in his channel. The rose colored glasses were ripped off.

@bbjess I think the type and content are applicable too. Bbno$ said he did reply to this creator and when you do find it the NSFW content this creator makes is very extreme. I think it’s about timing too because the post directly under the animation is very intense.

I totally see where he’s coming from and respect the sentiment That said it’s fascinating to see where ppl draw their lines. Can’t repost something incase ppl click a link and see NSFW art but comfortable existing on platforms where NSFW content is abundant and creating a song called NSFW (which I would argue would encourage young audiences to look up the acronym- possibly leading them to NSFW content) Not hating- just thinking !

there is conversation regarding me not paying creatives for commissions. one individual has been relentlessly harassing me because of an oversight on me not reposting their content. a month ago i offered to pay his full rate and formally apologized (attached) for being unable to repost his content to lead my audience to find his page. it was a fundamental oversight on my behalf. although they haven’t stopped harassing me. i have never not paid out animators. I have commissioned thousands of artists and i will continue to commission more because i believe in propelling art forward. love ❤️

@RealEmirHan I was on set during the music composition two weeks before release date and this was the ending they were working with. They changed the ending and released the movie in less than two weeks just because of test audiences.

(14x12)x30 is a little over 5000 stocked hourglasses needed. I highly doubt the game has given 5000 free hourglasses over the past 9ish months it’s been out.

Well let’s do the math then big zam. 2500 pack points divided by 5 is 500 divided by 30 days means in the limited time the event is out you need to open 16-17 packs every day in order to get the rare candy for free. There is no way to open 16 packs per day for free

I don’t know if he’s gay, trans or what… But I posed a question yesterday… He’s Mormon and 22….where are the interviews with the girlfriend, prospective wife? It’s remarkably quiet. Now…he didn’t have to be gay or trans…but possibly on the spectrum, or just socially awkward…but the boy ain’t right. Something wrong there. No girls wanted to be around him???

Ok my last point for the night unless we get another breaking update. If they had proof he was a “leftist who did this solely for his trans lover” they’d have had a press conference with timelines and pictures and evidence from his laptop by now. Think about it: -They are SO hungry for this narrative to stick. -They WANT a federal nexus. -Their base is foaming at the mouth for this. -The guy confessed, they have the weapon, the roommate is cooperating, they have his laptop and cellphone. So what’s missing? The only thing missing is a reality that matches their story - and that takes time to craft. If they had his trans-revenge manifesto, Kash Patel would be at the White House TONIGHT presenting that shit from the Oval Office with Trump. Because there is NOTHING they’d love more. And the fact that no pictures of the couple, no proof of motive, or anything has leaked to the press, and they aren’t declaring victory in the Oval Office right now…. …Well, that very absence of evidence tells you FAR more than any evidence we’ve found so far!
