Beautiful January morning here in York. And just beside Clifford’s Tower, you can see the white door in the old female debtors prison. Here were the gallows where the condemned were hanged inside what was York Gaol.

Happy New Year, everyone! Hope to be a lot more active on here and my site in 2025. After much discussion, I've dropped a day from my corporate day job so I can spend more time doing more of what I love; making historical 3d digital reconstructions! Best wishes for 2025.

Over last couple of days I've been working on the reconstruction a #roman fort that was just down the road from me. It was only occupied for a short amount of time so there's absolutely nothing of it left and have enjoyed reimagining it! Full thread over on you know where.

Ok, my following is starting to get butchered and Twitter has been a pointless venture for a long time both in terms of useful discussion and promoting books. Only being used as to post event news going forward. You know where I'll be.

@Al_Humphreys Agree, can be really enjoyable, but I live in a rural village and even with a good head torch, a pheasant erupting from the bottom of the hedge can warrant a change of underpants for this big, beardy 6'2" man!

Reflective running season is here again, and I actually really like pounding the streets after dark. It's relaxing and meditative. 🔦 #running
